Alright, next guess. they have some connection to Germania (their shoes - I can't believe you guys implemented that detail into the model, you obsessed nerds) but they are too dark to be Germans. What if they represent a tribe in the Alpes? Weren't those people darker than their northern neighbours? Also their status as an elite unit is contradictory to their simple attire.
