Help with starting settlements

hi, i'd like to change some starting settlements while playing as KH, mainly Id like to start with only syracuse.. is it possible, and if it is, how?

also, changing the faction name if its possible?

The correct way would be to change the game files to match, but that takes quite a bit of work. The easier way would be to cheat to move all your troops to Syracuse, siege the city and take it, then allow your starting cities to rebel.

Perhaps you can find a savegame ready for this somewhere, I think someone else has done this faction swap already.

just in case i can't find it, is there a list of cheats somewhere, i've never used them so i dont know how to cheat to move my troops there?

there is also another thing, if i move my troops to syracuse, then athenians and spartans would rule, not syracuseans?

EDIT: i found the save game, but its from a year ago, so that would be EB 1, or 1.1

is it possible to use it in 1.2?

Hax made some factions switches, I have also made one but I just changed faction name.
so if you check submod sections it may help you a lot. I think you want to play with Syracuse as a new faction. I hope you will not wait until EB2 that I think Syracuse will be represented in it.

i found the thread with the switches, but i couldn't find the download links

syracuse will be in EB2? thats nice, but who knows when it will come out :)

id like to play either as syracuse or athens, but dont really know how to change settlements

Though the team keeps silent on which factions will be on EB2, I am nearly sure she will be because of the fact that we have more resources than the other possible factions on Syracuse.
Plus I also expect Pergamon will be, too.
