Thread: Healing ancillaries
Fierro 15:14 06-27-2009
I've been meaning to make this thread for a while now but never got around to it.
My question is this. Is there any difference in how effective all the healing ancillaries are at healing casualties?

Yes, the different ancillaries have different levels of ability in healing casualties, some also add to fertility. If you do some digging you should find the exact stats. I'll post them if I find them.

IIRC the herbalists were the bests at improving fertility and the surgeons the best at fixing up wounded soldiers, with the doctors in the middle. But don't quote me on that.

Go to eb/data/export_descr_ancillaries.txt. When you are there, use Ctrl-f and type in "BattleSurgery". Then you can see all the different healing ancillaries and how good they are at it.

Chirugeon has a BattleSurgery of 10, so I'm assuming it is the best for healing, but it doesn't have any fertility effects like most of the others.

Erasistratus of Ceos has the most, at 20. 5 is actually the lowest score, although nearly all of the ancillaries have it.

I snooped around the text document a few times before. He is the only one with a 20, although a Druidic Surgeon (Exists, apparently) has a 15.

That's interesting. Is there a text file that indicates how ancillaries are obtained?

It's in the same file under "triggers" at the bottom. Ctrl-f the ancillary and press enter until you get down to the trigger and it tells you the conditions.
