Default Can my PC run E:TW?

I currently have an HP Pavilion a6110n PC. (Won't let me post a link?)

I've put in an extra 1 GB RAM, installed an ATI Radeon HD 4850 1 GB DDR3 card, and I have put a Corsair 650W cooler into it. I believe my PC should be able to run E:TW, but I just want to double-check with you guys. (I run M2:TW without any trouble.)

By being able to run E:TW, I don't mean being able to run it at 15 FPS. >=)

If you can run Medieval 2 without trouble, then you should be able to run Empire on Low to Medium settings at the very least. For the highest graphical settings you may need a high-end computer to run smoothly, but otherwise you shouldn't have trouble.

What is your CPU. Your GPU is fine, and I presume you have 2gb of RAM now, windows xp?

I have Vista, although I can get XP anytime.

This is my processor: Athlon 64 X2 (B) 4400+ 2.3 GHz (65W), I know the game requirements say that a 2.4 GHz processor is needed but I went to a few system requirement sites/tech sites and they said the processor is decent enough and that I just needed to replace the card and memory, which I already have done.

    Yeah you should be fine.

I run an intel dual core at 2.4ghz and the only thing slowing me down is my graphics card, an 8600.

Have you got 3-4gb of RAM? You should do so for Vista.

If you are really pedantic, I noticed about a 40-50% increase in performance when I downgraded from Vista to xp.

Yes, I have 4 GB of RAM, I put two extra sticks of 1 GB RAM in my PC. About Vista, I'll see how the game runs with it; if I encounter performance problems, then I will switch to XP. The only thing that I've found annoying about Vista when I am gaming is that I can't use the windows button while playing some of my games.

i play it on a single core 2.2ghz, and it works like a charm on high settings, so it shouldnt be a problem to you
