Sally fail

I recently tried to sally as Partians vs. Seleukids and it didn't go so well, thats why I decided to retreat. When I was back in town with all my units (gates cloesed) the timer didnt stop the battle didnt finish. Do you know what went wrong?

Nothing went wrong. AFAIK you always have to wait for the timer to run out, no matter if you got all your units back inside your town.

While I don't play with any time limit, I always quit the battle when the gates close. You don't get any "If you quite now you will loose the battle. Proceed?" or something message, and the battle statistics window pops up with the battle resulting in a "Draw".

Indeed, simply press "Escape" on your keyboard and then "Exit battle". I believe, though, that you do get some sort of message to the effect of "Your sally was successful".

Yup, it'll say 'Your sally has been sucessful. Do you wish to leave the battle?' or something along those lines.

EDIT: ah, you got there first. i really shouldnt reply on windows that i opened an hour ago :P
