Default The greeks and seleukid empire migrating

This is really crasy, just as i thought id saw it all in my roman campaign (i.e macedonia blitzing and creating an army of over 10 full stacks)

I was taking a spy through spain, cas averini and the lustana have been fighting for the last 10 years, i basically capatilised this by invaiding gaul (its been the only easy time iv had since i started the campaign)

Anyways what do i come across at arse (the city) Only the friggen greeks lol i mean wtf how did they get their? they only have 2 islands rhodes and kydonia, they had 2 celtic lesser kings an eastern merc gen and loads of spanish troops, iv never seen nothin like it.

Next thing im browsing around trying to find out where the seleukids r hiding cas ptolemoio have wiped them out. Guess where i find them? At kyrene (thats the city east of carthage between them and egypt) i mean wtf? has any 1 else had ne thin like this? Its a shame cassee dont perform weird migrations like this would make it fun. Oh and weird enough they are pretectorates to carthage, iv played countless campaigns and this is just weird.

Things r still hard in my campaign macedonia is still a menace but im gaining ground slowly, iv just raided and took sparta itself and worked down the coast.

U might not belive this but i cant take germany, everytime i gain ground they take it back, iv lost countless generals (mostly lesser kings).

So iv decided to leave germany for now because iv just had another little suprise (Carthage decided to send a full stack army to sardin and iv just lost my alliances with baktria and saurmatia.

Its weird how carthage decided to attack now they couldnt have chose a better time, my hands r full, i can barely build any more men my cities r taxed to the limit, they have been neutral with me for over 20 years, its like the 2nd punic war or sumthin lol.

Anyways who else has had weird stuff like this and how have these factions randomly appeared on the other side of the world?

    answers plz

Edit: remember im using alexander with EB

Ah my beloved League :D they do silly stuff everytime^^ as Sweboz I once suprisingly boardered them the same turn at the eastern and western end of my empire as their kin in Chernossos and Emporion have called them for help, you can imagine how suprised i was when I found out they had taken over all Sauromatae lands and a considerable portion of spain.

don't go into the dark woods of germania, just don't. their unit rooster is none of the best but they have a considerable home advantage and afterall there is not much money to make up there.

As KH I was attacked by my former allies the Ptolies via boat at Rhodos(1 unit of Arkontists) just now. luckily I had a medium garrison employed in the region north of rhodos to ensure It's Independance of the Arche with whom I am now allied, otherwise I would have lost my biggest city.
but really strange migrations (apart from those occasional areveni in Galatia) did not occur in my campaigns sofar. exept for those that I caused myself like Galloromans, Saba in Palmyria and Lusotanians around the Rhine.

Those cities have rebelled to the respective factions, its quite common to see Kyrene in seleukid hands and Arse, Emporion and Massalia will join the KH if they revolt from other factions (these were all greek colonies so it makes sense). Other ones you will see are Ankyra revolting to the Arverni, Illyrian provinces going to the Aedui, Indian ones to the Pahlava and South Egyptian provinces revolting to the Saba.

Essentially each city has to have a founding faction and if it revolts there is a chance it will join that faction instead of just becoming a rebel settlement.

This can be quite a pain when playing as the KH as there are a lot of cities that will revolt to them all over the map, and if they do you end up at war with the previous owner.

In my current campaign as Baktria, I was fighting the Seleucids when I noticed one of the diplomatic reports for the season: KH and Lusos are at war.

Interested, I use toggle_fow for the first time during the campaign and hover over to Spain. Sure enough, the Greeks sailed to the end of the Earth and attacked the Iberians. They had a territory or two also.

The most odd occurence, though, is once as the Romanii I made it all the way out east, only to find the Casse holding on to a single city (I thought I wiped them out recently). They ended up taking their full stack and putting up an incredible fight, taking three of my border settlements before I brought in the heavy Roman Legions

AFAIK it has to do with diplomats bribing settlements in my case.

In my Baktrian campaign the Makedonians had been thrown out of Greece by KH and Epeiros, and migrated in Dacia and Asia Minor, occupying many AS cities.

Also, Hyasidians went north against the Sauromatae, occupying their homelands. Sauromatae marched westwars until they reached Germany.

Pontus occupied all northern Anatolia and after that occupied Armavir, making Hyasidians another migrating faction!

Yes its a pain playin as KH when citys rebel.

Also i never knew the seleukids had beginnings in kyrene weird :S

TruePraetorian i cant believe casse went all that way i wud have let them settle just for the effort lmao.

Normally in my campaigns the enemy doesnt use naval for co-ordinated attacks or drtopping troops off but since playing alex with the romans has been more noticable, its nice i was slightly getting bored but now, i have every neighbour at war with me.

The lustannons and averine have actually stopped fighting and have come against me, it was a mistake to attack the averini but 1 of my policies is no turning back lol, i have to get myself out of it, it may take more time but i supose history is kinda playing out cas the romans were against all these factions

Ne wayz ill keep ya posted lol

The Casse attacked me, guess they wanted revenge. Should have known better then to attack Rome though

And I play on BI.exe and have modded some files..I changed some files to make the AI invade more via sea.

I wish those colonies taht rebel to their founding factions would actually attempt at expanding. I hate seeing several KH cities with a full garrison and several full stacks just standing there around the city. Come on attack and expand. For some reason I love seeing interesting expansions by the AI. Someone should create a program to automatically end turns, play as the casse, and leave the computer on all night and see how the world map looks. I bet there'd be all kinds of odd stuff or maybe not. AI is so retarded at times it makes me want to puke.

I always make a point as KH to send spys to the cities which might revolt to me. But then i like having an empire dotted around, supported by a strong navy. Although it can get annoying some times when it brings undesirable war. But then again war with everyone is inevitable eventually. Darstadly AI.
