    Default Roman Germanic Bodyguard

I was wondering if in anyway the german bodyguard of the principate will be used or at least mentioned in anyway. YEs they werent used after 9AD for a while (they were put back together again, evidneced by their rampage after caligula was killed). These guys were feared by everybody, even the preatorians couldnt match up. They were completely loyal and were notinfluenced by poliitcal dealings. I was just wondering if in some way they could be included, not as a unit (they were far too small in number and I can find no record of them being used in a pitch battle), but perhaps like a building or as like an ancilliary character

That'd be pretty neat. There are praetorians so this owuld be an interesting unit with an interesting unit description. Never heard much about htese guys.

There is actually very little information about them. They were never a large group (not large enough to warrant an actual unit). While the preatorians kept order in Rome and latium (they were of course the imperial bodyguards) The german bodyguard was the up close and personal bodyguard, They were the only ones really ever trusted since they were not roman citizens and thus were not influenced by politics

Inclusion as a trait is possible (possible not sure) but as unit I doubt it. As there is already a good quantity of Roman units, we'll keep the last slots for other factions or special regionals!

A trait limited to the faction leader ought to be more appropriate, though - ancillaries can be switched around, no ?

Here is a graph to illustrate the point."

But isnt it possible to make certain anciliaries spawn on only certain cheracters, since in M2TW being faction heir or leader is a trait and available to only them

To be honest couldn't you just add a description of the German bodyguards to the Roman faction leader trait?

Be better as an ancillary. You can make certain ancillaries non-transferable.
