yeah, NHS is a joke once you get in, unless you get in serious trouble or dont get at least a 3.7 gpa, youre golden.

I know lol i barely go to meetings and im the treasurer or something. Jeez, its like freaking resume padding without me doing ANYTHING about it

unfortunately my dad takes it seriously and when i forget my chores or get a bad grade on chemistry he rants on how i dont deserve being in NHS.

lol dont worry my parents rant about my sat scores, football, swimming, boy scouts, every subject in school (including religion?!?!), and my snowboarding, yes my snowboarding.
Mom: why don't you get another sposorship again honey
Me: Because i dont like being treated like a video slave
Mom: Well if it were me id be glad to have that sposorship
Me: i cant imagine that because YOU CANT SNOWBOARD
Mom: Youll never go to a prestigious university with that attitude mister
Me: Curse quietly and turn on my xbox360 to kill something

Dad: why did you get an F on your chemistry final??? and why havent you done the dishes yet??? you dont deserve to be in NHS!!!!!
Me: you know im bad at chemistry and it doesnt even matter because im done with science until college! and i forgot about the dishes!
Dad: why dont you ever do any for this family? all you ever do is leech!
Me: curse quietly and goes into my room to go online or to play guitar.

Ah, the internal strife of all teenagers. Well at least we can cope with it and not cry and have mental breakdowns. (thanks god for creating violent video games)

Parents: Stop staying home all day, stop playing computer games non stop for 20 hours a day (which I dont, at that point in time I played maybe 3 hours a day) stop having no friends, get a life, go out more, dont go out you'll get attacked at night, why dont you have a girlfriend etc etc etc
Me: Ignores, silently plans to change surname and move out asap.
