Thread: Hispanic Americans and their dogs.

  1. #1

Default Hispanic Americans and their dogs.

A recurring theme in my life is that I live next to considerable amount of Hispanic members of out community. Now, don't get me wrong I am the worlds biggest dog lover, but I'm contemplating buying a rodent rifle(Low velocity .22 or 1600 fps air rifle) and ridding my community of these barking machines. I don't get much sleep as it is, and they can't seem to hear their yap hounds when I goto their house and tell them to shut their dog up at 3 am. Was over at my neighbors house last night, they threatened to call the police because I was waking them up late at night. Is this a recurring theme across America, or does it seem to be located in the central valley and bay area of California only?

You think if they sleep through a dog barking, they can sleep through a .22 gun shot?

subsonic .22 rounds can be pretty quiet.

But shooting loud dogs is beyond a gray area in the law, and I can imagine neighbors would want to find out who's shooting their dogs and punish them.

I'd see what laws apply in the way of noise violations.

I understand the frustration, but I strongly discourage shooting people's pets and/or discharging firearms in your neighborhood. Apart from being against the law it's just plain wrong and heaven forbid an accident happens causing injury to innocent people. File a noise complaint with the police and contact your town board and demand they take action. It won't get fixed over night, but better to deal with it from the right side of the law.

Me: "Shut your dog up, its keeping me up."
Mexican: "Hey, man me dog no bark, listen"(Ruff Ruff Ruff)"See he no barking..."
Me: Sounds like he's barking to me, now shut him up or I will call immigration services... and the pound.
    Mexican: *Says nothing, shuts door*
Me: Dials cops to file noise complaint.
Cops: Sorry we cant do anything after 5 am...
    Me: "How about animal cruelty?"
Cops: Barking doesn't count as animal cruelty, do you need anything else?
Me: "you guys suck..."*Hangs up phone*

Are the dogs loose? If so, call animal control. Don't shoot the things, they are just doing what comes natural to them. I have a bit of a bias as an animal lover.

So are you saying that only the dogs owned by Hispanics are barking. I kind of find this hard to believe. Do all the crackers and bruthas in your neighbohood remove the vocal chords from their dogs or something.

If the dogs are loose and animal control won't do diddly, place bowls around the nieghborhood with antifreeze. That will kill the dogs and the cats without you going to jail for discharging a firearm within city limits.

Or be sensible and buy some earplugs.

I love dogs, beyond anything, but I can only go so long with 3 or so hours a night.

All the crackas and bruthas in my neighborhood are non existent, there are two white families mine and my 900 year old neighbor(other side). Its not that the dogs are left outside when they are gone, its that they always leave them out side... and the dogs are always barking. Day and night. they let the dogs in between 9pm and 5 am... which is when they can get in trouble, then the rest of the time I hear Bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark bark (insert barking dog smiley here)

Curiously, here in my homecity its quite alike. Only that noone complains about the dogs. We just close our windows and sleep soundly until next day. If you killed a pet, you'd probably be charged with a crime.

How would you shut a dog up? If they want to bark... they'll bark. Oh how I HATE Chihuahuas because of that... <.<

That's the problem with living with dogs <.< (I love dogs, i have two of them. Fortunately neither of them barks. Never)

Question Re: Hispanic Americans and their dogs.

What was the whole point of bringing racial identity into a topic of barking dogs? Are you so childishly angry over some dumb animals that you must vent your frustrations on the Hispanic American population?

Actually, like I was saying it's a recurring theme for me. Most times when I goto someones house at 4 am to tell them to shut their dogs up they're usually hispanic.

Wow, it must be that Hispanic conspiracy! Use their dogs to deprive you of your sleep so you'll perform badly at work. Then once you're fired, those crazy Hispanics will steal your jobs. All that's left in the ashes is a smiling Latino and a bitter teenager.

I wasn't aware that being hispanic actually influences Dogs to bark more often than a non hispanic dog owner. Maybe there is more audibles in Dogs barking in Spanish, than say... Dogs who bark in German.

If your community is almost entirely Hispanic, why are you sure there's a link between them being Hispanic and their dogs barking? When white people have dogs they still bark, trust me, the old lady next door has a dog that looks like it wants to kill me whenever I enter my back garden.
