A toast to the Undiscovered Country--the future!
--The Late Chancellor Gorkon
Acting Captains Log, Stardate 9522.8. Our mission to bring Klingon Chancellor Gorkon to Earth for peace talks, ending decades of hostility between the Federation and the Klingon Empire, has gone awry. Gorkon's ship, Kronos One, was fired upon, possibly by the Enterprise, and the Chancellor himself was murdered by unknown assailants. Captain Kirk and Doctor McCoy have been arrested and framed for plotting his assassination.
Mr. Scott has confirmed that all torpedoes are accounted for, and yet our data banks state that we were the ones who fired on Kronos One. If we did fire, then whoever was responsible for firing is here. If we did not fire, then whoever altered our data banks is here. Either way, whatever we are looking for is here, on the Enterprise.
I have secretly given Captain Kirk a viridium patch which will allow limited communication with him while he is held captive on the Klingon penal colony of Rura Penthe. We need to rescue him and the doctor, and discover who was behind the assassination, before the peace talks can be further disrupted.

WELCOME TO AVSM
Cool store, bro! I want some ham. No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome! You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi. It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty? You can sift through the penny jar ALL WILL BE CONTINUED
You were hoping for a quick easy mission and then a nice, long retirement, but you found yourself caught up in this big mess and are now serving a life term on Rura Penthe! Hopefully the crew of the Enterprise can hurry and save you. Thankfully, Kirk has a veridium patch which will allow you to vote even when you're not onboard.
You must be rescued by Night 3, or else you will freeze to death.
Special Ability: None at the moment, as you are currently away from the ship.
New ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
You realize that Martia has betrayed you! But you get her to confess.
"Someone wants you out of the way. An accident can be convincing for killing one of you, but not two. Now killed while trying to escape...that's convincing for both!"
You are then surrounded by several Klingons pointing their disrupters at you!
Suddenly you are beamed back to the Enterprise!
Now that you're back, you have access to your medical supplies.
New ability: Once per night, you can protect someone from being killed. PM me your choice.
Spock (Beskar)
Role:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"Logic is the beginning of wisdom, not the end"
Captain Spock
You have taken command of the Enterprise with Kirk gone. Your mission is to rescue him, and to determine who the traitor onboard is.
Special Ability: Logical Conclusion. If there is a tie during the day phase, you may PM me the tie-breaking vote.
Special Ability: Mind Meld. As a Vulcan (technically half-Vulcan) you have the ability to join in someone's thoughts. Doing this against someone's will, however, would be illogical. Unless, of course, your captain ordered you to do so... (translation: when I say so, you become an investigator.)
Ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Captain Kirk is back (or he will be, when I finish the write-up).
"Spock, did you happen to mind-meld with anyone to determine their innocence or guilt?"
"Negative, sir. Such an act would be unethical. Unless, of course, I was ordered to do so by my superior officer."
"Very well, Spock. I order you to mind-meld with one person every night."
New ability: Investigation. Once per night, you may PM me who you want to investigate. I will let you know their role.
Kirk (AVSM)
Role:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
"You're a great one for logic. I'm a great one for rushing in where angels fear to tread."
You've cheated death many times before, and just when you are ready to retire it looks like you may have to cheat death again! You and Doctor McCoy have been framed for the murder of Chancellor Gorkon and sentenced to life on Rura Penthe, but (as Spock suspected) you are deep into your escape planning.
Spock has slapped a viridium patch on your back, enabling you and the doctor to vote by subspace channels. Eventually they'll come to rescue you...at least you hope...
You must be rescued by Night 3, or else you will freeze to death.
Special Ability: Captain's Orders. If and when you are rescued (I'll announce if you are), your vote will count double. You do not need to vote twice, I'll just count it as two votes.
And his new role:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
As Kirk
You realize that Martia has betrayed you! But you get her to confess.
"Someone wants you out of the way. An accident can be convincing for killing one of you, but not two. Now killed while trying to escape..." Martia transforms into Kirk that's convincing for both!"
You are then surrounded by several Klingons pointing their disrupters at you!
"Kill him, he's the one!" shouts Martia.
You are vaporized...
As Martia, disguized as Kirk
The doctor is still alive, hopefully he will be vaporized next. Suddenly....
....You're beamed up to the Enterprise!
"Welcome back, Captain," says a stoic Spock.
You are now Martia, disguised as Kirk
Victory condition: Eliminate all town roles by lynching them by day.
Special ability: As Captain, your vote has the weight of two votes.
Limitation: As a shapeshifter, you need to "recharge" at night. If someone roleblocks you at night, your votes the next day will not be counted since you'll be too tired to contribute.
And a bonus ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
You notice that Kirk kept a 19th century pistol in his quarters, with a single bullet in it. This may come in handy...
New ability: Kill This ability can only be used once during the game. During a night phase, you may choose to kill another player. Please PM me your choice.
Scotty (Khazaar)
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Kirk: Did you find the engine room, Scotty?
Scotty: Right where I left it, sir.
You are Commander Montgomery Scott, chief engineer of the Enterprise.
In anticipation of retirement, you bought a boat. But duty calls, and here you are on your final mission. As chief engineer, it's up to you to keep the ship moving. Only your technical expertise can keep this ship moving towards Rura Penthe to rescue the captain.
It will take 2 turns to reach Rura Penthe. Kirk and McCoy will freeze to death if they are not rescued by Night 3. So don't let anything keep you out of the engine room!
Ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
With the phasers missing, you are starting to get a little paranoid. Once you are out of the brig you will take things into your own hands, should you need to.
New ability: Warp-core shutdown. This ability can only be used once during the game. During a night phase, PM me and I will prevent everyone from partaking in their night actions.
You are Commander Nyota Uhura. You are the communications officer aboard. You are able to stay in touch with the captain and the doctor through subspace channels. You'll soon be taking a job at Starfleet Academy, but you've got one more important mission to do first!
Special Ability: Communications officer. As long as you are able to be at your comm station, Kirk and McCoy can vote while they're on Rura Penthe.
Ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
You are starting to get a little paranoid, especially after being framed and ending up in the brig. Once you are out, you will use your abilities as communications officer to your advantage.
New Ability: This is a one-time per game use. During a day phase, you may forge a communication from Starfleet Command. This will count as two votes. These votes are in addition to your normal vote. These votes do not necessarily be the same as your own vote. PM me your two extra votes, don't do it publicly.
(too bad this wasn't used, I had a cool write-up planned)
You are the second officer, navigator, and security chief. You have access to the weapon's locker. And you're a little paranoid.
Special Ability: Security. As security chief you can role-block another player at night. PM me your choice.
Extra Special Ability: If the Captain doesn't make it back alive, you may have to take things into your own hands...but hopefully that won't have to happen...
Ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Stopping by the security office, you notice that someone has taken a phaser! As chief security officer, sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands. You decided to take a phaser and set it on kill.
New Ability: Waporize This is a one-time ability. At night, you may, instead of role-blocking, chose to waporize someone. But choose carefully! Discharging a phaser will sound alarms and there is a chance that the write-up will attach your name to the kill (depending on what the gods at random.org decide, of course).
You are Lieutenant Valeris, the first Vulcan to graduate at the top of your class at the Academy (being Vulcan, you do not believe that you are proud of this achievement). You believe that to offer Klingons safe haven within Federation space would be suicide, and that the crew of the Enterprise have betrayed the Federation by offering them peace. Everything was going perfectly except that Spock and Kirk have a nasty habit of being persistent. You must stop them if your conspiracy is to succeed! You want to keep this clean though, so for now you will not be killing anyone unless I say you can.
Special Ability: Security. Spock has trusted you with this investigation, not knowing that you're the guilty one. Once per night, you may block one other person. PM me your choice.
Extra Special Ability:
Ability:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
On the way back from the bridge, you decided to stop at the security office and take a phaser. Set on stun at point blank range, it can fatally wound someone without setting off any alarms.
New ability: Kill Each night there will be a 50% chance that you can kill another player. I will PM you at the start of each night and let you know if random.org allows you to kill. If you can, PM me your choice.
Re: Star Trek VI--The Undiscovered Mini-Mafia (Concluded)
Yay, I won because I found all the scummy traitors!!! ;-)
And John, I have to excuse myself for what I´ve wrote after my lynching but I misinterpreted my PM and thought that if I get lynched n1 or n2 both Kirk and Bones would be dead. What I said was a mixture of frustration and strategy to see how you would react, I thought it would be unwise to excuse myself while the game was still running. I never thought that you really "abused" anything...
