Anyone else had a situation like this.

I had 2 Romani armies in Aedui territory, a depleted stack that had been knocked about a bit and a full stack of fresh troops that had cost me a small fortune. The gallic scum had a large stack in a city and 2 smaller stacks close to the city. I pinned the large Aedui stack by seiging with my depleted stack and chased the other Aedui armies off with my main army before joining the seige of the Aedui town with that army.

During the Aedui turn they sally against the smaller of my stacks, and not liking reinforcement battles where the reinforcements are the bigger army I decide to withdraw the smaller army. By the time my turn comes round though the larger army has totally vanished. No message about turncoats or betrayal or heroic deaths.

Have I strayed into the barbarian triangle?
