Red face weird: losing a man and a cannon at the start of the naval battle... (1.03)

Just had this weird thing happen. I started a naval battle where my galleon (sound and healthy) was facing a damaged Spanish brig. As soon as I pressed start battle, I lost a cannon and a man. The ships were nowhere near shooting range yet.

Anyone else has seen this? Probably a bug.

Could be your gun blew up although since you were out of range, its rather strange.

Yup. I was not shooting at anything yet. Losing the man + cannon happened the instance I pressed the "end deployment" button.

Indiamen I know for sure but could be related to ships capable of trade losing cannons and men in battle for no reason.

I' almost leave indiamen far from battle and they always lose cannons throughout the battle
