    Default Alex EB romani campaign

Yes this is the campaign which i was talking about starting a few months ago which i did start and gave brief commentary on for some time. Any way iv been gone for some time but still playing my romani campaign.

Just to remind ppl i played it on H/H on alex EB and made no attempts to attack any other civilization until 250bc

I had a lot of trouble at the start with macedonia as they blitzed everything around them counquering pontus, the greek states and epiros, taking all they had and more. They soon turned their heads to me and were more than a challenge, sending full stack after full stack i had to defend at segestica. This is all fair but i had other problems, (as mentioned in other romani campaigns the germans) They are a pain in the arse, they just dont stop attacking since around 240bc they have attacked me over and over again.

I actually tried counquering them twice and came close once, but they pump out so many troops by the time new talent arrives from italy my old talent is dead, mercenaries r too weak for them. So i just hold full stacks at forts and hold them off each time (this is getting very boring im now at 190 bc and i get a german attack on 2 cities every 4 turns. I actually spoke about plans to emmigrate to Africa if any 1 remembers because my frount lines were so brittle. Anyway turns out i got a break and conquered greece pushing macedonia back where i can handle them. Whilst my attention was turned on them Averini and lusta were fighting and basically getting nowhere. Until i noticed lusta were pumping out far more than averini i decided i had best take the opportunity to take some undefended provinces. (This was the easiest time i had in a long time and took 3 provinces off a plate.

The only problem was the lusta attacked me right after taking gergovia so i now had full stacks on all my boarders defending with no hope of attacking due to lack of man power and money.
My cities were now taxed to the limit and my provinces in italy were running low on people. So what happends next after i thought nothing else could go wrong? Carthage attacks alalia and sicily, they couldnt have chose a worse time. I now have 2 allied factions (koinon hellon who are sat on rhodes and krete doing nothing and ptolemaio who r huge conquering the whole of the east. I have 5 enemy factions sweboz, averini, macedonia, lusta and carthage.

So i concenrate on lustana whilst holding my boarders on the rest of my empire this gets boring because i am vertualley defending settlements for the last 15 years on top of that defending against macedonia and sweboz defending since 240 bc.

Iv now taken spain and turned my attention back to macedonia because they are sending full stack armies from all directions.

Now to the point, getai who have been sat building up forces and taking near by rebel settlements have just decided to attack me whilst swooping around their east flank pursueing macedonia north.

Now its not a matter of things being hard its a matter of bordom. Im sick of ending a turn and fighting 10 battles vs 5 different enemies on 5 different frounts its really getting boring. What happends when i counquer carthage and africa will ptolemaio attacks me? My only true ally.

Has any 1 got any suggestions to how i can claim a ceasefire with getai or make new alliances or generalley change my situation because atm its my against the world :(

This is why we have a wonderful mod called Forced Diplomacy.

You can abandon the cities on one of your border to the rebels. This will buy you some time and you can concetrate on only one front.
The good trick is also to give the setlements to other factions too cutting the other faction way to you!
For example give one city to the Aedui and cut the way for Germans.Got it?

Yes thats simple solutions i actually took the two bosprian cities and abandoned them for the koinon hellion but because they didnt re-ally with me and were simply destroyed by the macedonians i reverted to an earlier save.

Its just taking all the fun out of the game. Im sick of fighting the same battles with the same tired troops :(

P.s forced diplomecey just isnt going down with me ne ways thx for the advice :(
