I would like to pose the question, How much do we actually know about Roman ships and their naval system (discounting that which we could learn from these wrecks)? Are there a lot of gray areas of uncertainty, or is the subject well-documented?

Speaking of ships, has anyone heard any news about that well preserved ship they found buried in the blacksea mud? 1/2 of the wood was still intact.
