Looking back at Commissar Beefy, Force Commander pever gave a salute while his men were unloading the relic and carrying it onto the Thunderhawk. He had worked with Imperial Guardsmen before, but this situation was different from the rest in that the teamwork between them was equal – usually only the space marines do most of the work. There was a general reliance on each other and these Guardsmen have shown their bravery to match those of his squad. Without the Commissar and his men, this mission could have turned out quite differently. The Force Commander gave a short but meaningful reply.
“It is my honour to have served for the Emperor beside you.”
Turning back to his squad, the Force Commander boarded the Thunderhawk, and it soared into the sky with orange heat waves from its boosters that scorched the ground. Without further time wasting, the Commissar ordered his tanks to sergeant Reenk’s position.
Welcome to Tainted Heresy, the follow up game to
taka's great game,
Tainted Evil.
This is another game in the same spirit, with a new storyline, new players and a new mechanics system.
Think of it like the Battle Royale games, if you didn't play the last one. You have what you have, you move around a grid based map, fighting other players and sending detailed orders in. If you can think of it and the people you represent can do it, it will be done. You will each have a number of specialsed objectives and a number of units to choose from.
The story will be done after sign-ups, as the story is going to depend on how many players.
The game should take up about 10 minutes of your time every few days. Less than a normal mafia game.
Expect the fighting to be bloodier, the killing funnier, the dead bodies larger (in amount) and there to be a free fresh light salad afterwards.
We await your...signature...

Beefy187 09:36 07-31-2009
I would like to sign up as a reserve player
I don't think I got too much time to play
pevergreen 10:19 07-31-2009

You've always got enough time Beefy, I know you.
White_eyes:D 10:56 07-31-2009

In to win...

It pays to send in your orders when the host asks, because your actions go in order on how you sent them...like...."I want to attack Beefy near pont N-3" but lets say your a minute later then Beefy and he already sent in his too.."Avoid combat while retreating to N-2" then he would getaway and even kill some of your unit...
Is that how it's going this time, pevergreen?

No Beefy will not be attacked. Beefy is a leprechaun. He cannot be seen by those with murderous intent. Peace loving Beefy will not like it if he gets attacked.

Because of time zones, orders will happen at the same time, if you say go to A1, and a person in A1 goes to A2, you will see them or something like that, depending on location and speed etc.

It also really hurts, if your teammates go inactive....

My partners were Yoyoma and Ares...One didn't play for the start and was, WoT right away..

The other turned into his own faction and nearly killed me

I hope for better results this time
Edit: I had to take a nap and Reenk beat me because of
5 minutes last time....glad it was sorted out this time
Hmmm...why not?
"Idleness leads to heresy" .... so lets keep busy
If it starts next week/ next next week, then I should be fully ok. might struggle a bit with limited internet for about the next 6-10 days tho
In For the Emperor!

I could join, but I won't be here for next week. If the game is starting after August 9, I'm here for sure- if not, it's up to your discretion whether you want to let an inactive player sit around and do nothing until then, pevergreen. I understand perfectly if you can't have me, in that case.
Whatever your decision, thanks!

You shall be in Chaotix.
pevergreen remembers GH being in the same position a while back. That was fun.
I didn't expect this much of a response. I'll leave it for another 24 hours or so.
Every arc of the story has been added, bar one. If you guys want that, we need another 3 people at least.
slashandburn 00:34 08-01-2009
I'm in but i dont know the rules
pevergreen 02:11 08-01-2009
No one really does at this point.

The exterminatus had been called, the world was a lifeless husk. But so was the will of the emporer. Brother-Captain pevergreen of the Second Company of the Black Gryphons, a chapter of the Imperiums Space Marines, genetically enhanced super humans, stood upon the Battle-barge The fall of grace waiting on the astropath's instructions. The warp was a deadly place, but the only way to travel at great speed. They must go to the place they had never been before, Terra. The place so long forbidden to the Black Gryphons, the beacon of humanity, the only safe place for this relic. They must be rid of it, for they had their own troubles.
Troubles, which, as it seems, where about to be doubled.
"A distress call Brother-Captain!"
"What? Here? Impossible...the surrounding areas are uninhabited, only mining colonies."
"Its from the Dark Angels."
"Then we must go. Another company of space marines stands at the brink of destruction if they must call for aid, especially since this is the Dark Angels."
"Get the men ready. Get me a scan of the planet. I want to know who is on it. We have never passed through this sector before."
The scan of the planet showed the location of the distress call. It was coming for the outskirts of the mining colony. The area around included forests, a beach and another small city.
"What is this other city? Get me a reading on any life forms."
"Brother-Captain, it is the Tau. They must be trying to colonise this planet for their so called 'Greater good'. What are your orders?"
"Wipe out any threat to the Dark Angels, return here alive. For the Emperor!"
I shall randomise and send roles out soon.
Current progress:
4 role PM's are out.
Format is the same, you get a choice of a few squads, but this time, more customisation.
pevergreen 03:52 08-02-2009
Also, if anyone can like...make a map, that would be really helpful

PM me if you can help out.
5 PM's left.
2 left now.
pevergreen 05:31 08-02-2009
All roles have been sent out, now I need responses.
And a map.
How should we respond if we don't have a map?
pevergreen 07:08 08-02-2009
Responses for choices.
And I need a map and I can't do aaanything. Im terrible with graphics.
Hrmm.... perhaps if anyone had the game Spore, they could find a suitable planet in the space stage, zoom in just enough to get an overhead view of a region, and then take a screenshot? Then it could be grid-ified...
I would do it myself, but I don't have access to my Spore game right now. The idea just popped into my head... we could just try google maps, and search for some place in Australia or New Zealand, too.
