    Default Sir Bobby.

Terrible news, Bobby Robson has died. He'd been ill for some time but still a shock. I liked the guy, he always came across as the salt of the earth. I still think that it's karma what happened to the barcodes after the way they treated him.

    R.I.P. Sir Bobby.
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

Sad news. Robson was a fine coach. What I loved about him was that he was always so delightfully 'British'.

One more gentleman gone from the beatiful game.

For me, I'd associate him with what was good about the English game; specifically, the game in the north east of England, rather than "Britishness". Regardless, always sad to see another good one go.

Rest in peace indeed Sir Bobby.

How majestic yet humble a gentlemen you were, and how venerable but relaxed you were at the Trophy match.

Reporter to Newcastle's Shola Ameobi: 'Do you have a nickname?'
    Ameobi: 'No, not really'
Reporter: 'So what does Bobby Robson call you?'
    Ameobi: 'Carl Cort.'

Hopefully people don't see that as bad taste, it always brings a smile to my face. The man was a legend. RIP
