    Default Islamic Military Fiction

    Howdy Orgahs,

I recently had a craving for Islamic Military Fiction, really almost anything (except Ottoman stuff) that deals with Muslims and war in a fictional setting (or Timurlane fiction if there's a particularly good piece on him).

    Any help appreciated!

I ask because it's usually something like that which causes outbursts like this, needless to say I dissagree completely.

There are some really good books out on Saladin, that are fiction. There is one simply called SALADIN, but i can't remember who wrote it. I read it in like 6th grade....... (don;t worry it is most definitely an adult book.) I think the fact that i still remember the book at all says how well written it was.

Smacking my head for missing something like that, should've looked for "big name" stuff first.

Edit- After looking on Amazon, etc. it seems Tariq Ali is the author to go to first.

I'm not sure if there is an english translation, but an ancient fictional story about Hamza (the prophet Muhammed's uncle) called the Mughalnama, its a bit on the fantasy side though.
