I haven't read this one, but at the mo i'm trying to get my hands on another of his books, Unplanned Wars, about the first two punic wars. From the reviews I've read it sounds pretty in depth compared to some other lit on the topic. Looking forward to reading it, but I'm a bit worried it'll be a bit too heavy for an amateur historian like me
