Could somebody create (or point me toward) a listing of all of the "missions" available to specific factions? (i.e. Getai unification, Epirote conquest of Makedonia, Romani triumphs, etc.)

You mean the actual missions (Retreiving Alexander's body.....) in the older version, or just scripted events in 1.2?

I think he means the scripted events and the special traits.
Like the "retaking" of Rhegion with Romani? Or the conquering of Syrakousai with Karthadast?

"tu regere imperio populos, Romane, memento"—"Roman, remember by your strength to rule the Earth's peoples!"
It's not a mission, just some text from the advisor. You can find those in files, but I don't know where....

There's the relatively unimportant one for the Casse: Uniting the isles, and capturing various cities (conquerer of Goidi Arduile) or something along those lines.
There's the automatic stack as the Lusotannan of cantabrians (I think) when capturing a settlement in the north-east of spain.
Also, and there was a thread about it around a week ago, there's the message the Arverni (?) (or aedui) get to help the Epeirotes capture certain settlements.
Really? I can't remember getting a message when playing Casse neither before nor after uniting the isles. I did only get the reform messages.

I like those scripted mini-events, for example when the AI besieges Byzantion or Chersonesos in the Pontos campaign, or when you attack Sinope. Or when you attack Numantia with Lusos.

Ah, I miss the days of that Alexander's body mission for Makedonia and the Arche Seleukeia.
And what is the advantage of doing those "advisor missions"?

I don't think they always HAVE a benefit. Sometimes there's a small benefit, such as the Aedui and Arverni mission to take Ak Ink to help the Epeirotes out, where you get the help of the Epeirote army to take those settlements, which are probably in your VC anyways, and you usually get an allliance with them.
Yeah, after uniting the whole of Britain, there should've been a message, perhaps if you conquered Attuaca too soon it wouldn't've happened. I think there was a message when you only have Ivernis left to capture too, and your FM that you took round (should really be Barae) gets certain traits which boost his Command and Influence.
Hmm I didn't get any messages, but I captured Attuaca before I went to Ireland. I can only remember that i captured the rest very fast. But it's not so important; in my other campaigns I got all messages.
