Well I've upgraded the drivers to the best, rolled them back, completely uninstalled them, and so far nada.

Conformation on whether the same problem of 8-series cards not working exists with Nvidia GTX cards would be Verry nice,as it might be a way for the game to become playable for those of us that have this problem..

Do you have a GTX series card? If so try updating to the latest drivers and see if the game runs ok.

I currently have a Nvidia 8600 GT card, I was hoping that someone that has a GTX series card would be able to share whether it works for them or not,as I'd buy a GTX series card if MTW actually worked with it..

I see. We've had few reports from owners of these cards so far. Have you tried searching? I do remember at least one member claiming that they'd got it working fine on a GTX series card without the battle map issue?

    Hello;
I seem to have the exact same probs as Valentine and like him would appreciate any ideas!

I recently upgraded my PC (and originally bought an nVidia 9500GT but persuaded my dealer to change it for an ATi, phew!!!), my current specs are:

    MSI P43NEO F motherboard
    Intel E7400 dual core
ATI 4650 1GB graphics card (Catalyst 9.8 drivers)
4GB OCZ RAM (system recognizes 3GB)
    several HDs
    Win XP Home SP3
    etc

Like Valentine, although both the campaign map and battle map seem to work well, when either loading a saved game, or after completing a battle, it can take over a minute before the progress bar starts to fill with red. The hard disk doesn't seem to be churning away like it was a disk problem, but seem to load a bit then stop then a bit more etc.)

After battles, some of the time it then crashes rather than take me back to the campaign map.

At least I can play the game now that I got the ATI, but it's a bit frustrating when you've just completed a long and successful battle only for the game to crash.

Any suggestions gratefully received on this one!

    Welcome dryfjord,

Unfortunately I have the same problem and as yet have found no resolution - nor can I determine the cause. I'm in the process of trying to get an older graphics card in order to run the game - this is obviously not an option that most would want to consider.

Sorry that I cannot be of any more assistance.
