    Default Seneschal's and Nobles' Reports

This thread is for the Seneschal to make reports each turn (1.5 years gametime), Nobles to make brief reports on actions they have taken in the game, and for both to post the save when they finish.

The Seneschal excepted, Nobles should only use the thread to announce when they've taken the save, to upload it, and for the aforementioned brief reports on what they've done while they had the save.

With both votes completed, the first turn has begun. Extra generals have been drowned, and everyone moved to their requested starting location (to the best of my knowledge). If there are any errors, please pm them to me.

    First Save

Made some fixes after being notified two avatars were very low on move. Oddly, most avatars were missing at least some, even though I had sore wrists from typing all those 'character_reset 'funny name'"s the other day, and did so for each after moving him into his settlement (so it wouldn't be a matter of saving before typing the commands and then forgetting to save again, or noone would be in their right settlements, either.).

Any way, the problem should be fixed now. Anyone who has any movement rate issues let me know.

    Just a matter of order.

Please do not take future saves until I open it up for the 24 hour period.

Or not. Ok, Zim, your save regresses us back to before anyone had moved. So do we start over?

No continue KD. There is no point trying to roll back now.

But I'll have the save at the end of each turn from now so I can release it after I've taken a look and made a few notes before you guy's go crazy with it.

And it seems that the movement rates problem is still present in the save Zim has put online... notably de Neufville, Mauvoisin and La Hire have inconsistent Movement rates...

ok now there is a KOTF 1081 1-3 save posted in the game save folder that is different from 1-2. So since OK's was 1081 1-2 save, am I playing that one? I'd assume so.

Going to go for it. Here is the save. Metz is beseiged by the Duc, myself and the Rheims garrison.

KnightnDay you missed Zim's 1081-3 save which he linked to in this thread. Always use the latest save. Otherwise things go pear shaped.

Edit: Never mind my mistake. Nothing to see here, move along.

Moved Bertin into Duc Hugues army. Learned that Bertin has the sexually liberated trait.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

    Achtung achtung achtung,

I will take the save tonight around 21:00 GMT +1

I have no idea what that is using this new universal time crap.

That will have given you all around 32 hours on the save.

    Thank you for your attention.

    SENESHAL REPORT Season 1 (1081)

    Le Trésor Royal:

My King, Dauphin, nobles of the realm. The first season went very well.

Unfortunately Mother church informed me that no new priests were available last season so I was unable to fulfill that requirement.

In the mean time Cardinal Etienne Courtois moved towards Toulouse as the “faith” seems sadly lacking there.

I have to report that Her Highness, Princess Constance, was unable to secure Angers from the English, she certainly made a valiant attempt but we were rebuffed on both occasions.

Unfortunately our beloved Princess seems to have picked up a heathen German as a suitor. God knows what he was doing fraternising with the English but I have seen him in the flesh and he is more German than a bloody Rottweiler. In addition our relations with the English have tragically worsened.

Given the lopsided position in Metz, our spy is heading to Bruges.

In addition a diplomat was commissioned and will be available next season.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

In a surprising move given our pending “issues” with the Holy Roman Empire we have secured trade rights with them. It also cost them 1500 florins.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I'm pleased to provide the following construction report:

    Toulouse a small chapel
    Dijon a grain exchange
    Rheims began roads (completed)
    Rennes a grain exchange

Paris, well the money dried up once a number of mercenary regiments were recruited so nothing could be constructed.

That leads me to the defense of this realm.

    le Ministère de la Guerre:

In the north the King received two regiments of mercenary crossbowmen near Bruges. Our forces are gathering for the coming siege.

In the south the Dauphin's man, Christophe de Peronne was able to recruit two regiments of mercenary spearmen for the pending attacks in northern Spain.

Duke de Champagne has begun the siege of Metz.

And in developments that have caught me entirely by surprise, while I was watching some paint drying in Rennes while administering the Realm and I had a vision from one of God's representatives on earth.

He has instructed me to create a more equitable situation for the realm.

This requires Bretagne to take a more active roll in the coming seasons.

In short my lords “we” are heading over the channel to acquire some land. I am sure this will be of long term benefit to the realm as a whole.

Given this development, mercenaries will be a little harder to come by in the next few seasons. I am sure that with the regiments currently available we will be able to achieve our goals.

Here is the current reports from across the realm.
