Once knew a man who trained a wolf for breeding with dogs. He was later killed by the wolf, and one of his clients was injured by a half-wolf.

I knew a guy who owned a Arctic Wolf, beautiful creature, but there was just something about her... had that look in it's eye, that it would kill you without hesitation if you did something it didn't like.

I really do not see the fascination with keeping naturally wild animals?? The only ones that I can see are the domesticated kind which have interacted with humans for a long long time. The idea of wild animals in captivity such as zoo's is something I was never fond of. Just take a look, the whale and dolphin tanks are abysmal, I won't even go there with hippos, and the big cats and Elephants need territory that is huge and allows for roaming and some kind of hunting. But I'd say only a very few select zoo's should be allowed to educate the public into protecting these species in their habitats and how to act accordingly if having contact with them in the wild. The only thing that they were good for beyond the education is the rehab of the injured animals. But other than that, I've never agreed with zoos for the most part.

As for the people who purchase big cats for their own personal what ever. It's unbelievable that that is even allowed! The cages are absurd and pathetic! A constant problem I find, or an underlying tone if you call it that. Is this superiority complex it seems we have against the other inhabitants of this planet. It can be seen by the way we treat them, on the "animal attack shows" ect..

I would like a little oranguntan baby...Then teach it to become a MMA fighter/ bodyguard. By the time it becomes full grown I have it beside me at all time takin care of business.....the possibilities are endless. Of course one day it would kill me in my sleep because it doesnt like taking orders from a 2-bit human, but thats the price of being badass.

    Left turn Clyde.

Reinvent the British and you get a global finance center, edible food and better service. Reinvent the French and you may just get more Germans.

A vital role they play is in breeding programmes for endangered species.

    @ Decker
My curiousity result in my unprofessional investigation thread
It's born curiousity, but the stinks of animal **** (literally faeces that dumped everywhere), still stains my jacket even today..... just look at my investigation thread

Well, at least this little journey result in something different in my mind now about animal trade..... as I did witness they are packed and cramped in really filthy condition...
Ahh okay I'll take a look...

Eh... I forgot that but there have been a few zoo's that I didn't really think that they should have had certain animals under their care (the cages were pathetic). That usually goes for the animals from the big cats to the elephants, and giraffes in some cases.
