DotA lovers generally are disappointed with HoN and I am one of them.

And while DotA 2 is about to hit the...Steam, why pay 30 bucks for that ?

HoN is almost exactly DotA. And I know a lot of DotA fans now playing HoN.

What didn't you like in HoN which was better than DotA?

Sure, that's why HoN made a name for itself. DotA players were charmed with the hope of some Dota2-esque renovation as well as some sweet features like reconnecting.

But in the end when we got it, we just didn't like it. Something was missing and I find it hard to define what it is.

That doubles my bitterness. It was a 30$ per account game when it was out of its beta stage.
