Hello all who still play this game or read posts and messages in these forums.




I am not new to modding this game but also not very experienced i must say. I happened to have toyed around with the lukmapmaker times ago but never really finished something that worked. Now that I have a kid I am a fanatic player of this game again; i must have all mods installed. Beceause of it being turn-based i can easy leave it standing and run for my son.
I love to play campaign maps and modify every mod to my own needs. My mod skills dont go that far tho: I only just know every part of the startpos files about what they do and how to mod them. I also mod the prod and hero files to my own needs and transfer units from one to another mod. But my biggest wish is to work on the campaign province map. There simply are to few provinces to conquer.



I remember the lukmap-thing didnt work for me. I like a little extra information. I have a few questions.



Q1. Does anyone know the minimal files i would need to add a new province?.
Reason: I noticed in the Pike and Musket mod that the campaign map isnt visually edited beceause there are no new names written on the new provinces an the old names still exist like in portgal and kazar the borders overwrite the name written on the background/map. So my question; could I add a province just by editing notepad files?. Ofcourse it wouldnt look great but for a start it would so help me out.


Q2. Is there a guide about this that can help a newbie? i seem to be to blond or to bad at understanding advanced english to find something that helps me out.
