Thumbs down It Was ... MURDER! (dum dum dum)

Well, I guess I'll be avoiding the teevee for another month or two. MJ's death ruled a homicide, 24-hour cable news networks rejoice and sing hosanna.

Michael Jackson died in his rented mansion June 25 from a deadly dose of the powerful anesthetic drug propofol, according to an affidavit unsealed Monday. [...] Conrad Murray, the Las Vegas cardiologist whom Jackson called his personal physician, told detectives that he had been treating Jackson for insomnia for about six weeks, and had been giving Jackson 50 milligrams of propofol every night using an intravenous drip, the report notes. [...]

Propofol is fairly easy for a doctor to acquire, but is never intended for home use, where proper equipment to resuscitate a patient is typically absent, says John F. Dombrowski, director of the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Nor is the drug ever intended to help someone with sleep troubles. "That'd be like me taking chemotherapy because I'm tired of shaving my head," Dombrowski says.

I should ask my grandma about this. She's constantly watching American news channels now because all they ever report are things regarding Micheal Jackson.

He's as guilty as sin. Basically a drug dealer.

So what if a patient begs you? He's supposed to be a professional.

There's a Doctor here going before the GMC and courts accused of giving doses of diamorphone inappropriately and faking the notes. He got 2 1/2 years suspended which IMO is far too lenient.

remember the time when the doctor told you what drug you needed, as opposite to now, when you tell the doctor what you want...

I trust my local dealer more than doctors these days.

*in all fairness, he only disappointed me once, and that was with a new shipment he had not tested, and I got money back +10g*

Not surprised. I was quite shocked, however, at the speed with which post mortem books apeared on the highstreet, and in such numbers. It will be interesting to see how long it will be before accounts of his "murder" begin to appear.

redrum. The good doctor had big money problems and Jackson was paying him something like $150,000 a month. He allowed his greed to interfere with his professional judgement and now he'll pay the price.
