Hello everyone, I'm trying to modify the effectiveness of the roman pila. You see, this is what I've done - I've lowered the range of all thrown missiles to reasonable levels, but now the roman pila fly in a low arc and straight in the shields with absolutely no effect. I have the idea, that increasing the angle of the arc will have more effect. Maybe I'm wrong, but I haven't found any information so far. But how to change the angle? I've seen in the projectile_new.txt the min and max angles, but can I actually make the min. angle a positive value?
Also, another question. I'm currently playing with the Romans in the EB mod, so until I get Marian reforms I can't have any engines. But my point is that engines were usually used in sieges. So in my view, it would be better if it's possible to build them as siege equipment. Is this possible? If not, how can I add siege engines as mercenaries, so that I could recruit them during sieges. I know some would consider that cheating, but the goal is to have some equipment you can hire(for a lot of money and with really brutal maintenance costs, so that you cannot use them for a lot of time. I'm familiar with the EDU, but the descr. engines and descr. mercs, as well as the projectile.txt are terra incognita for me :(
