This is me reposting a previous thread that I started. I figured the original title wasn't specific/sexy enough, so I decided to sex it up a bit. Don't worry! It's safe for children. And I deleted my previous thread.
Heya. Sorry to bother. I've been trying to play around with the console cheats but I'm having a hard time with Roman character names. I found a thread on the board where Raiuga had the same problem, but he figured it out without sharing how he figured it out.
Let's say I wanted to add a unit of accensi to the stack of Pvblivs Clavdivs Marcellvs. I would imagine that typing the cheat would go something like this:
create_unit "Pvblivs Clavdivs Marcellvs" "roman missile accensi" 1
However, that results in a message saying the character's name is not recognized. I remember a similar issue in vanilla RTW, so I thought it might have something to do with spaces and underscores. I tried:
Pvblivs_Clavdivs_Marcellvs
Pvblivs Clavdivs_Marcellvs
Pvblivs_Clavdivs Marcellvs
Pvblivs Marcellvs
Pvblivs_Marcellvs
Pvblivs Clavdivs
Pvblivs_Clavdivs
Clavdivs Marcellvs
Clavdivs_Marcellvs
I had no luck. So I tried something similar. I had a stack without a general led by Captain Manivs. So I tried the same code:
create_unit "Captain Manivs" "roman missile accensi" 1
Still no luck. I tried the same thing with an admiral (and a ship, not accensi, silly) and no luck there. What is the proper way to type a Roman character's name?
