    Default Patch Help!

I’m wondering if some kind soul could help me out on this one. The other day I accidently uninstalled RTW thus mumping up my EB game. So I uninstalled everything, including EB in the hope of starting it all again. However, I’ve got a major problem with patches 1.3 and 1.5. After I install Rome Total War Vanilla on v1.0 I then go to download v1.3 and v1.5 They download fine and I can install them, but they’re not registering with RTW. After I load it up and look on options it still says v1.0.

I’m not too savvy with computers, so is there somebody out there that could take a few minutes to explain to me where I’m going wrong? After I download them I extract them all in the downloads file, although on my last attempt I extracted it where the RTW Activision file is in C:/Programme Files (x86) only I still got the same result. I’m using Vista 64 and I’d be very grateful if you could help.

    Cheers.

I think I should also point out that I can only load the game from C:/ Programme File (x86) and not C:/ Programme Files.

First, you need to install RTW outside of Program Files (in your case, it's Programme File apparently). I suggest C:\Rome_EB. Then, you need to not place the patches in the RTW folder, but rather run the patch installer(s). It will then change the relevant files in your RTW installation.

Having problems getting EB2 to run? Try these solutions.

I do NOT answer PM requests for help with EB. Ask in a new help thread in the tech help forum.

Cheers Bovi, I’ll create a new file called Rome_EB and see how it goes.
