Strategy map scrolling speed

After getting a bit bored with Empire, I have taken a break and have returned to M2TW for a while.

I'm not sure why I've never noticed this before, but the scrolling speed while in the strategy map seems way too fast to me, and I can't seem to find an option for slowing it down. It seems like the arrow keys whiz me from one side of the map to the other before I can react. I did a search about this, but came up blank.

I realize that there is a mouse scrolling speed slider in the options and that "page down" will slow also the scrolling while in game, but these controls appear to only control scrolling while in the battle map, and seemingly have no effect while in the stategy map.

I'm just wondering if there is a file that I can easily alter, which will slow the strat map scrolling down somewhat?
