I got to watch the bengals win and then the steelers lose

Unfortunately the ravens pulled out a victory.

Bengals beating the packers wasn't a big surprise to me, I saw both teams play last week. Bengals got killed by penalties and dropped balls last week. Only one drop this week, of course 13 penalties and two interceptions but our offense moved well.

I really didn't see houston, chicago or san francisco winning though. I guess hasselbecks injury helped that.

Congrats on the win this week GH

Jets beating NE is not a huge surprise either, I had trouble picking in that game. NE looked shaky vs buffalo, and are missing mayo and welker.

Well, Jerry can't be too happy about his new stadium's debut. Last-second loss to your archrival on prime-time TV.

Was a really good game though.

The 'Boys gave that one away! I'm so dissapointed!

As for my picks, it looks like I'm racing towards the bottom!

Yup. Same as last year, plenty of talent, but mental hiccups and no discipline. 9-7, here we go!

Miami has to learn how to not drop balls...colts are giving me a scare though, I picked them both weeks as a sure thing but they barely pull out a win.

VV A slow two minute drill too...

That was one slow offense by Miami.

Well that makes it official: I SUUUUCKED this week! Seriously, I'm pretty certain this is the fewest wins I've had since we started this last year (the two weeks where my picks didn't get entered at all notwithstanding).

There's a reason the Dolphins were my upset pick of the week. If they're to continue winning, the Colts need to get their act together quickly (not unlike the Vikings....).

We all have our bad weeks, Martok. I'm pretty sure I'll lay a 3-win egg somewhere down the stretch. You just got yours out of the way early, that's all.

As for the game, that was an... interesting... two-minute drill, to say the least. Odd, because usually Sparano is more on top of things than that.

There's 5 tough picks again next week...hmm.

I wonder if this year picking cincy every game will actually help me

Heh. Poking through the various comparison stats on poolHost.com, it turns out that we, as a group, run a 53.37% chance of picking a winner of any particular game, ranking us 1,474th among over 4,000 pools (the top-scoring pool picks correctly 78.75% of the time - but they've only got 3 guys making picks).

Overall, we're doing well; considerably better than my workplace pool (with 40 players, running 39% accurate as a group; this week's top picker (and winner of $200) got 12 picks correct, and tied with 2 other players - the tie broken by MNF total points scored).

I do feel for the cowboys...although at least this didn't happen with 20 seconds left in the game.

Finally, the beleaguered people of Detroit catch a break: the Skins-Lions game will be blacked out in local markets. We in the DC area, however, will still be subjected to this atrocity.

Hope the Lions win for 2 reasons. As a Dallas fan, this would help sooth what looks to be a mediocre season ahead. And as a DC-area resident, the latest sport-talk radio has been absolute gold.

I must be out of my mind: I actually picked Detroit to beat Washington, and Cincy to beat Pittsburgh.

May the gods have mercy on me.

If its any consolation, you're not alone on the road to insanity. :)

At least on the Lions pick.

Yeah, I don't particularly have a good feeling about this week either.

-edit- Woohoo! Eagles-Chiefs is on CBS in DC!

A last minute change to a Chicago victory for me. I just read Hasselback isn't playing, one of many injuries for Seattle. Even the 12th man won't give them the win.

I guess on the plus side, Minnesota lost ...

Oh, wait. I guess I get a point instead. Hmm, which would have been better...

I'll be interested to see if Seattle can win. Oh, and be sure to share any golden moments from DC radio.

Palmer is still looking very rusty...at least he isn't throwing interceptions. And our defenders keep whiffing on sacks, but then again it's roethlisburger.

The Lions were a good pick this week. Odds were they were going to break that winless streak sooner than later, and the Skin's haven't been playing very well lately. Congrats to the long suffering Lions and their fans.

Bengals win!!!

I'm not even angry at our long snapper for his 2nd botched snap this year, seeing as we would never have completed that 4th and 10 to the 5 yard line if a field goal would have tied it.

-edit-

The steelers have the same record as the lions.
