Hooray for necroposting!
My friends and I wanted to get a LAN setup going on with an RTS. Since we are seniors, we have lots of time on our hands, and we decided on WiC as the game we would play. I just ordered a new copy of WiC complete for $9 (including shipping) off of Amazon, will post with a review when I get it.

Hvil i fred HoreToreA man who casts no shadow has no soul.
It always looked like an interesting game, but its pace seemed to be far too frenetic for my tastes/abilities. I've always been a slowpoke when it comes to RTS titles, and I haven't exactly improved with age in that regard.![]()
"MTW is not a game, it's a way of life." -- drone
RTS is branching out, titles like WiC and DoW/CoH are moving it away from the old Build base, kill enemy type of thing.
But then Starcraft 2 comes out and makes everyone realise why RTS is known for that.
WiC is definitely worth the look, but I can't recommend it for the multiplayer. Not because MP is bad, simply because when i tried MP six months ago the community was practically dead. It was very hard to find games, expecially in comparison to a little after release when you couldn't find a game with an open slot!
If you check it out, i'd do so for SP first and foremost. The campaign is incredible as far as Red Dawn spin-off scenarios go.
