Not really. It is a completely different format. If a real life conversation/afternoon with friends was forum posting, we would be reaching around the 1000-a-day mark.
Also, if you check pevergreen stats, it is approx 8 posts a day. Very minimum if this was a subitution.
There is also the personality aspect, obviously people are always evolving and social role play a big part, but there are still the fundamentals. Him being "quiet" doesn't come as amazingly different. If pevergreen turned around saying he was a party animal with 10 ladies a night, then that would really be a misjudgement of personality.
Also again, there is "impression" and "judgement" factors. You generally invent characteristics for people or communication isn't taken the same way, then there is obviously social roles. Many people sometimes post with the mindset of "this doesn't matter so i can say anything and everything" while in real life, I doubt they would say it infront of their parents without recieving a backhanded slap.
