    Default Celts?

Hi I'm going to write a short dissertation about celts for my graduation exams and I'd be happy if someone could recommend me any books about them (preferably in german) Thanks a lot.

Anything by Peter Beresford-Ellis should be read with a critical eye.

I don't know, I liked Celts and Romans by PEB. It was a little Celtophile, but I thought that it at least looked at the situation another way.

I would recommend the following as starters:

"Die Kelten, Mythos und Wirklichkeit", hrsg. von Stefan Zimmer, 2. ed. 2009, Theiss-Verlag
"Die Kelten", Dorothee Ade u. Andreas Willmy, 2007, Theiss Wissen Kompakt (from archaeologists)
"Die Kelten und ihre Geschichte", Barry Cunliffe, 2000, Lübbe-Verlag
"Kelten: Versuch einer Gesamtdarstellung ihrer Kultur", Helmut Birkhan, 1999, Verlag der österr. Akademie der Wissenschaften

Maybe there are newer editions for some.

(perhaps from an English Traditional, about 1700 AD)

Drum, Kinder, seid lustig und allesamt bereit:
    Auf, Ansbach-Dragoner! Auf, Ansbach-Bayreuth!
(later chorus -containing a wrong regimental name for the Bayreuth-Dragoner (DR Nr. 5) - of the "Hohenfriedberger Marsch", reminiscense of a battle in 1745 AD, to the music perhaps of an earlier cuirassier march)
