Thread: Is the data of Recruitment Viewer up-to-date?

Default Is the data of Recruitment Viewer up-to-date?

I found it sometimes not in accordance with my game experience, playing EB 1.2.
For example, Recruitment Viewer says as Epeiros I should get both Hellenic Medium Cavalry and Hellenic Heavy Skirmisher Cavalry as 4th native units in my capital. But as soon as I started the game, I found I can recruit the latter while not the former, but shouldn't I get them simultaneously if RV is correct?

IIRC the data is for EB 1.1, as there were only minor changes to the recruitment pools and the team moved on to mod EB II.

I think it's not up-to-date, some inconsistences were mentioned in a number of threads here. I don't remember any particular exmple, but there surely were differences between the game and the RV.

There are two different versions of the recruitment viewer. There's the one you download from the EB website, and there's the one that comes installed with the game.

The one on the website is inaccurate (and should probably be removed/replaced). I understand the one that comes with the game is accurate.

To a degree. There were a few minor modifications from 1.1 (which is what the most current RV is based on) to 1.2. On the whole, it is rather accurate.

    Thanks for this tip.
The RV which puzzled me is indeed downloaded separately from website, because on this pc I haven't install EB.

How do you get the unit cards for RV 1.1? Pref with EB 1.2 stats. Are there any floating around anywhere?
On my RV the unit cards are all blank with a big ? on them.

In order to get the unit cards, install the RV from the EB website and copy the image files for the unit cards to the equivalent folder of the 1.1 RV. As far as I know, no-one had updated the unit cards (in fact, the cards of the 1.1 RV are probably outdated for EB 1.1 as well).

Not with Karthadastim. Major inconsistencies there.
