The officers post only gives him a 50% chance of surviving and he could easily be protected. Trust me, 50% chance to survive isn't something to rely on. Besides, he's more than likely already got a protection group assigned to him.Because the Mafia can kill him without protection.

At this moment we are not going to go after the vigilante groups. Offing gibsonsg was very good for the ship. However, wantonly killing everyone who appears suspicious could lead to pro-town roles getting killed. Better coordination could lower that chance.
Now it is very likely the British are hiding in those groups. I'm sure we can work something out for the good of the crew, though.

But it seems likely to me one British member may be hiding in your ranks. Letting me know who you are lets us narrow the investigation targets and let's me warn you not to attack pro-town roles.
