Good question, I´m not really bothered myself except for the fact that somebody just found a scapegoat to scurry away himself. Anyway in N1 I protected Beskar (on his request) with A1 (since he already said he worked with me). In N2 I protected Split on Beskars request. N3 I protected Beskar on his request. On N4 ATPG asked me to protect Split. On N5 ATPG requested me to protect Split again. On N6 our esteemed Captain asked me to protect Split again...

All of them were succsessful in terms of the protectee survived (meaning the protectiongroup worked), the fact that he was never attacked doesn´t matter. And now you really want to lynch me who was protecting on your orders for every single night? Either you have no clue or you need somebody to take the fall...

    Well done town, well done.

You know, no matter which way this game went, it turns out well for me.

Nope, if you saw, the host was going to remove him, but he decided to vote, which prevented that.

This is the only instance of him voting in the entire game, save for selecting the Captain. So he doesn't seem to care about catching the traitors, only saving his butt. If he's a townie, then he should have been more proactive.

The fact that they were never attacked means that you were free to do whatever you wanted that night, including not actually doing the protection. There's no voting pattern to analyze, there's no in-thread discussion to analyze, there's no way to verify your alibi, because your target was never attacked.

Out of everyone in the game, you seem the least concerned about killing mafia, and you also have nothing to back up your story which is concrete. As I mentioned already, CountArach and Yaseikhaan had the exact same alibi as you. Their targets were never attacked either.

As for having no clue, I prefer to vote for someone who would provide the maximum amount of "clue". Here, it seems you're desperate for survival. And you're an enigma; no way to verify your story short of attacking your protection group. And given the apathy you've shown towards finding suspects, I don't have much of a motivation to waste time doing that.

If you're a townie, then you died in the line of duty, narrowing down suspects so we can find the true killer. Most other players in the game have some sort of trail for their actions or data suggesting their innocence. Out of all the townies to die on a blind shot, you're the safest bet. And we lose no information in the process. If you're a mafia, it's time you died.

That's how I determine who I vote for. Others are very much the same in this regard. Do we vote for someone who has a solid alibi for their whereabouts during a Maven kill? No.... how about someone with a claimed power role that we can verify? No.... what about someone who was found to be protecting or investigating during those nights? No.... so what do you have left? The pool of people not claiming power roles, no solid proof they were protecting, and no data to otherwise suggest their innocence.

And of those, whoever has the weakest voting history and the weakest contributions to the discussion, if you have a preference.

Bottom line, you meet all the criteria for someone who I'd go after based on nothing but process of elimination. The mafia have to make a better show of their innocence than this, and in the process, give up information which only tightens the noose further. You've given up the least amount of information... that is why I choose you. It makes it seem like you have something to hide. And again, your methods are very similar to CountArach's hiding method.

There's reason behind all this. In most mafia games we lynch based on intuition or gut feeling, and because we have a lack of data, that's why we do it. All normal in a mafia game. I'm not saying I couldn't be persuaded to look at someone else, but I've been given no data by investigators suggesting someone else is guilty... I've been shown no argument which is better from an evidence-based standpoint. I see a lot of finger pointing and that's all. And so I am pointing fingers, as I'm supposed to do in a game like this. Perhaps if Khazaar had done more finger pointing....

    Day 7

For the first time in a week, the sailors of the
Presence were able to express an unfamiliar emotion to them: hope.

There had only been one kill last night, and it was done by the ultra-successful Four Horsemen vigilante group, removing quite possibly the last remaining enemy presence on board. So, as they were voting to purge the ship of any remaining threats, the sailors also made merry. They ate, they laughed, they sang shanteys, they drank. Okay, well, some things never changed. But they were all in a good mood.

All of them, that is, except for Khazaar, who was to be the final sacrifice to appease the Gods of the Sea for some unknown wrong the crew had done them. Khazaar, who had been mostly ignoring the entire process, preferring to concentrate on swabbing the decks, finally snapped to attention once somebody finally alerted him that he was in danger of walking the plank.

"Wait a minute, you've got this all wrong!" Khazaar pleaded to his mates. "I... I haven't done anything wrong! I be protectin' ye at night from all the dangers of the sea, both mythical and human! I never hurt a fly! Even... even during Charleston, I be stayin' aboard to guard the ship! I love this ship! I'd ne'er do anything to hurt it, and that be God's honest truth!"

"Aye, that may be so," said one crewman, "but ye not be doin' anything during the daytime."

"But... but I still be workin' to keep the ship clean!"

"Aye, but we be needin' records, Khazaar," said Quartermaster Askthepizzaguy, holding a scroll of parchment so long it reached from his arms to the ground, and even then it was folded several times. He took a long look, coughed, and read the scroll a minute, finally looking up. "Ye've got nothin', me boy. No record of who yer friends on board are, no potentially record-clearing votes... no damning evidence here."

"But... no evidence against me... doesn't that mean I'm innocent?" Khazaar stammered.

"Ordinarily, aye," said Askthepizzaguy. "But in this case-" he stopped mid-sentence, double-checking his massive scroll, and continued. "But in this case, it appears as if nobody else has any evidence against them either. Thus, off you go, boy! Enjoy what be left of yer life!" The crowd cheered and started to close in against Khazaar, but they were prematurely interrupted.

"Excuse me," said Captain Crazed Rabbit, "but I believe that organizin' the execution be *my* job. Pizzaguy, thank you for yer service, ye've been a great help to me, but ye've gotten too big for yer britches recently. We can't be havin' two captains aboard. Hence, TinCow be the new Quartermaster."

TinCow, trying to fake a look of surprise, stepped forward to join Rabbit and Louis.

"Right lads," said Rabbit, "We have an execution to do! Khazaar, any last words before ye join Davey Jones!"

"I'M INNOCENT!" Khazaar bawled, and then broke for below decks.

"Somebody stop him!" Rabbit called, but a half-dozen sailors were already on it, rushing behind him and bringing him back up a minute later. They were dragging Khazaar, who in turn was dragging his own personal collection of treasure.

"Ye lousy sea-dogs, I always wished nothin' but the best fer this ship, and ye go and do this to me?! Well, I'll have none of it. Me treasure be goin' with me to the Locker, and none o' ye bilge rats be gettin' any of it!" He somehow managed to break free of all the hands gripping him, and bolted straight for the plank, running off.

The last anybody saw of Khazaar was him in mid-air, lovingly cradling his bag of treasure, and hitting the water.

Oh, if anyone is curious about why Askthepizzaguy got demoted. He decided to give all the pro-town roles and all the town information in regards to protections and other things to the Mafia.

On that note, no one follow Askthepizzaguy's orders in any shape or form, also, if he gave you orders, contact the Captain (Crazed Rabbit) to ask him what you should do.

Awww... yerr all a bunch of fraidy cats. You're afraid of the big bad Maven? He can't even wet himself when he's scared. You wanted to have people stop following my lead, well here's one way of doing that. And the Captain, et al, came across this information because I told them that. They were wondering why pevergreen knew so much and they were thinking that one of our investigators turned on us or something. My confession saved you a lot of trouble and perhaps an investigator's life. I'll take my lashes as I deserve them, but since the game is almost over, keep your eyes focused on the prize. I had been doing serious work for the town until last night when I was contemplating quitting the game. I saw an opportunity for fun, and I took it. Ya know... all those people who think I'm no fun and everything, wanted to show them a thing or two. Well it seems it doesn't matter anyway because the Brits are dead.

lol I told them last night that one of the watchstanders was vulnerable because some of you don't send in your orders. Well today that same watchstander was suspected of being the leak, and I stepped in to own up to my sins and perhaps save his life. Maybe the Brits dying made up my mind for me. I've atoned and I'll go back to swabbing the deck.

I don't see that it's suspicious in the slightest. It wasn't about to alter the result - if nothing else registered my continued desire to be rid of yet another murderer.

    Ja Mata, Tosa.

The poorest man may in his cottage bid defiance to all the forces of the Crown. It may be frail; its roof may shake; the wind may blow through it; the storm may enter; the rain may enter; but the King of England cannot enter – all his force dares not cross the threshold of the ruined tenement! - William Pitt the Elder
