It is a rule for regular Orgah's.

Oh, I didn't know you could speak French. Comment as-tu apprende le langue? Avec moi, j'ai pris l'immersion Francais dans ma ecole elementaire. Beaucoup de la langue n'est pas dans ma memoire ces jours, mais... c'est plus mieux que rien, n'est-ce pas?

Does this forum have a strict 'english only' rule? It seems we are from all over the world but everyone posts in english that I have seen.

@Megas, good memory if you can still remember enough from primary school to write fairly cohesive sentences.

As for exterminating early settlements, there shouldn't really be a need. If the town is particularly troublesome you could get away with the middle option to 'expel'. but distance to capital is never that much for your first few homeland regions.
Exterminating rebelling cities later in game however is fully justified. They totally deserved it.

It's not in the forum-rules, but we prefer people to post in English, if only so that all of our members can understand.

Well, poor English is appreciated in its own right. :-p

Is it wrong that I find him completely understandable? Sure his communication skills leave somehting to be desired but its easy enough to know what he is saying....at least on the first page, it does get worse further on.

If I may opine, we should communicate in English because this language is what people who participate here understand. Those who don't often use English, I suppose, would not care to post much here. For example, lately I participated in a forum where most posts were in German--I understand the barest smattering of German, so I seldom post there. I myself don't have English as my native tongue, but this is what we all over the world who post here have in common. Thus we continue to use this tongue here.

Totta. Sitä paitsi täällä ei taida olla kovin monta henkilöä jotka osaavat puhua suomea.

But most don't. We've got profile pages and social groups for private conversations. This is the public forum.

No private conversation, just a clarifying example on why we should write in english.

And even if there were, I've personally grown accustomed to using English as the de facto official language of the internet, and rather prefer it over using native languages. Hell, I quite often tend to chat with several of my (Finnish) friends in English when talking over the internet (and sometimes in the "real world", too).

Ahhh das ist weird! Since this thread has gone OT, I post my 2cents: This and some german LARP/Reenactment forums are the only forums I write in and honestly, I had to accustom myself to write in english even though I#ve been told, that my oral english is quite good. Especially this mixed oral/written style was somehow unusual, when you've just learned english in school...
