This is the sequel to "The Lost City of Tikkal", the amount of players I hope to acomodate is 15-20, though less than that is also welcome. This game will be a lot more focused on exploring than on killing unlike the predecessor as now after a kill attempt, you have a "cool down" period, where you can't kill. Likewise, players will now be able to gain several secret abilities by exploring certain squares, which the only one I'm going to reveal publicly is gaining the ability to kill the attackers if the attackers attempt is the one which succeeds.
********************After months digging around Xi'an in China, the expedition composed of several explorers, visitors of the .Org find Meiwo. The vast city, long thought having been razed to the ground, had been underground for millenia and hasn't been seen by human eyes for thousands of years. More interestingly than that, they find that the city is actually gigantic, being several dozen miles long, which makes the explorers think this was to be the capital of Dong Zhuo's dynasty, who was one of the most powerful people in the fall of the Han Dynasty in China, intending to mirror Chang'an or Luoyang, former Han capitals, in their prime. But the explorers aren't here on an archeological expedition. They intend to loot the city for everything it's worth. Following the main road, they reach the main Palace at the heart of the city. In its Inner Quarters they discover a gold and jade statue covered with gems, estimated worth $20 million. They have lost many men on the expedition and every night they spend underground is dangerous. The sensible thing to do would be to leave now with their winnings. But will their greed send them on a different course?
A mini-game with threachery in the mix. The final objective is that everyone must be unanimous in deciding to leave the city.
Here is the map of the City. The main palace is E5 and cannot be explored. Throughout the map treasure is laid out in a battleship-esque manner (in fact exactly like in battleship. Most squares will give a small amount of loot, on rare occasion single squares will give more (though each square is different) and very few ones will render much more, though any of these former ones do not match the main loot complexes, arranged in straight lines of 5,4,3 and 2 squares).
There will also be an undisclosed amount of squares which if explored might give the players which explore them secret abilities among other things. But not all of these squares give boons. Be wary that this city is a mystical and dangerous place, and wandering off into certain places might have dire consequences.
Each day, individual players make one of three choices, privately (pm's sent to me).
1) Explore the city
The player picks a few sets of coordinates and sends them to me. They get any loot from those squares (if more than one player visits it's split between them. If the loot is shared than I will say so, but not who you're sharing with).
2) Kill somebody
Ah, greed. With each person who dies, your share of the money of the Statue will increase. Those who do the killing divide up the individual loot of the deceased as well. Not all attempts succeed however, as the commotion of a kill will put everyone else on alert. Whoever has the most people try and kill them dies (and if there is a tie, they all die). But bare in mind that once you have attempted to kill (Whether it failed or succeeded), you will have to wait three nights before attempting another kill.
3) Leave the city
If everyone decides to leave the city, then the game is over and everyone still living is a survivor. Whoever has the most money is the sole winner and champion of the game however. If future games are held, a champions list will be posted, and the highest scoring champion will be know as grand champion.
Any sole survivors get to describe themselves officially as being the "Greedy conniving seahorses".
Each day will be 24 hours.
You are free to pm each other, form groups to cooperate and share information, secretly share that information with the group you are really working with, post pm evidence that someone you are working with is betraying another group...etc.
No screenshots, no chatlogs, and no revealing anything once dead.
After each day I'll post who (if anyone) died, though I won't reveal who or how many tried to kill them. I'll then send night result pm's and the next day will start. If I get pm's fast enough to do a 12 hour period and if I'm able, I will.
I think it could be interesting, post if you want to try it out. Rule suggestions are welcome as well, as I just thought this up a few days ago. Should be an exercise in trust and betrayal.
If the survivors of the last game do join, they will each recieve a secret ability in advance, as part of their experience in surviving through "The Lost of Tikkal". These are the reigning champions of greed and betrayal:
