Illyria

This thread is to discuss the possibility of the Illyrian faction being included in EB 2 (because I'm bored and need something to do while away from my EB computer.) I post it because I have the nagging suspicion that one of the new factions is Illyria, and I'm curious as to what the other players think... So, whys or why nots...

I'm pretty sure they played a major role in the history of the EB time-frame, though I think that a specific Illyrian tribe would be the actual faction (IE not simply Illyria, though I could be wrong.)

Gameplay wise, an Illyrian faction would serve to stall the rapid expansion of the Romans and (especially) the Epierotes. An Illyrian faction would also help keep the Alpine area from falling too early to the Romans as well.

I'm not sure about a Illyrian tribe but i think the Skordiski could be in with a chance, they were a major celtic tribe in the area and became very Illyrianised over time.

As for keeping the alpine areas from falling into roman hands too early the Boii would be a more likely choice being a very powerful kingdom in eastern central europe (personally i think they are almost certainly in EB2).
