Eqvites Singvlares and alt+tab

Two simple questions. :)

1) When do these awesome looking guys become available:
Eqvites Singvlares


Marian Reform? That would be sweet.

2) Recently I can't alt+tab out of the game normally.. I can alt+tab into the desktop, but the problem arises when I want to come back into the game again. I can't. No matter how long I wait the game will not pop-up again. This is sooo irritating.. :( The strange thing is if I alt+tab really quick, only to change the song or something, it works perfectly. But if I stay on the desktop for too long I cant. I play on Vista. Anyone have any idea how to solve this? It worked perfectly before..

i think those guys were left out.

afair they were not included as the MoT kicks in far to early for them and this is the only event that can change the Bodyguard units (other reformes are scripted).

About question 2; try playing the game in windowed mode (selectable in EB configuration). That way, when you press alt+tab, the computer will switch to another window without minmizing the game window. I had the same problem, and doing that solved it.

You still shoudn't minimize the game window though, mind you. :)

I think their model is still in the game files though.

Depends whet you want them for, do you want them to be a seperate recruitable unit or just a bodygurad upgrade? The first requires a bit of work editing the EDU and EDB files but the other is really easy.

Just find the unit entry for the Singulares and change the general_unit attribute to general_unit_upgrade like so

I'm having this problem with Alt+Tab too since I started using Vista. I guess Vista just sucks.
I will try playing in windowed mode although.
Any other solutions are very welcomed.

I will give this one a try, I was thinking of changing the bodyguard unit of Equites Consolaris with something else when the Marian reforms are triggered.
