Check this for your validation:

Try to get this(ftp://europabarbarorum.org/Validation/validation.zip) altered validation which stores the results directly on the C: disk, where it should be allowed by Vista. You need to unpack it in the RTW folder where you installed EB.

no vanilla doesn't work. I think i will give up I did the validate program and I keep pressing a key and it gives me a blank file.

If Vanilla doesn't work, it has nothing to do with EB.

Install RTW from scrap, and then EB.
