You might very well say that. I couldn't possibly comment on that...

Which is famous catchphrase of an old BBC series. A bit akin to American phrases like 'Hasta la vista, baby!'
Which goes to show that the real difference is not in semantics or spelling, but in the use of language.

Ahh...good old Francis Urquhart. You don't get a better English name than that.

Although I was at school with a Farrington, a Carruthers, a Thompkinson and a Clive. Well not the last one, he was there 200 years earlier.

As someone who naturally pronunciates with 'flat' vowels, I have it on good authority that swearing in a Yorkshire/Manchester accent is very effective. Time to beat the whippet with me clogs.....
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

To learn who rules over you, simply find out who you are not allowed to criticise.

A guy at work is a Brit. I can't understand half of what he says.

Idk about you guys but if a girl used the term snogging in front of me, I would be attracted. Because there is only two possibilities:
    1. She is British or has a some sort of connection to Britain (is American who's parents are British immigrants). AWESOME!
    2. She read Harry Potter and picked it up from there.
STILL AWESOME! (I can role play with her.)
