Originally there were no plans to release it in the US or Europe but the Japanese version was repeatedly selling out with shops reporting weeks worth of backorders due to overseas sales. The game was already in English except for the instruction manual and the PS3 is region free so importing was easy. Atlas took notice of this and picked it up for a US release. Currently there are no plans for a European release or a port to any other platform.
I won't be owning it then. I will never buy an PS3.
