Far - far away from your "modern education" system pal.... this is Indonesia, about 1994-1997 (first until third class of primary school)..... and right there, left hand is still considered "baaaad baaaaaad hand" and I won't get an extra cake if I still write with my left... and without that extra cake, my handwriting will be still a hieroglyphs.....

yes, indeed well in indonesian:

our writing will get a C or F if we write with our left hand. and if we eat with our left hand, we could be get mad at....
