Default The New Countries that emerge

So far I have experienced the U.S., Quebec, Norway, and Hessen as emerging powers. Usually they don't last long, save for Norway or Quebec. Not counting the rebel factions, what other countries emerge? Hessen was a surprise as they came back in the territory that Westphalia was in, thus begging the question why didn't Westphalia come back?

    Punjab appeared and promptly disappeared.

Fighting isn't about winning, it's about depriving your enemy of all options except to lose.

More anachronistic than an army of Inuits chasing you out of Newfoundland? Or of conquering chunks of Europe as the Marathas?

In fact, Afghanistan as a (loosely) unified entity dates to the ETW period. See the Hotaki and Durrani dynasties.
