Nope. If you do a complete reinstall and then install BC 2.0 with the 2.02 patch, you should be able to play hotseats.

Just be sure, since you have Vista, to manually delete everything in the "user/appdata/local/virtual store/sega/medieval II total war file. That is key!

I can't even find that file could it be because I did not install M2TW in program files?
