    The mafia quicktopic.

Yes! Yaropolk was my comrade in arms

We were totally goners from night 1 after Reenk attacked me

4 people in the pro-town, even coupled with paranoia and wasted investigations, is too much

    Edit:

And just to incense ATPG , I tried to attack Ichigo/Csargo on Night 2, whence I was blocked

i was pro town. But when slash and burn died i became a sk bent on revenge. So i decided i was going to kill all the people who talked about how they loved each other (in this game, everyone....)

oh and i could only be not killed once. but i guess you guys bbelieved me when i said i had like 4 lives, lol.

so basically i would have been pro town and this would be totally slanted if slashandburn didnt gert himself wogged by signing up for a game when he was inactive......

oh and i was a level 12. Which i think is the highest..... god my character was a total ba

4 lives was a bit much to believe. I had a game I designed where a guy was intentionally trying to get himself killed (actor role) but he had extra lives... and he only had three lives, and only died once. It's basically impossible to die that many times in a single game.

But it could very well have been a bluff to keep the mafia from killing you. All lies are not necessarily scummy.

I get revived, so I am not actually dead... if White_Eyes:D actually does what he says.

He was meant to be protecting me anyway, but all he did was protect himself.

It's unusual for the town to make such a clean sweep of the mafia from start to finish, and especially twice. If it happens again, I will think that this game is officially cursed against the mafia.

    Reenk Roink twice, too....

Sorry Reenk! I honestly thought your vote for me was scummy given the write-up evidence. I wasn't sure I believed Beskar was detective at the time given the fact that I was one. Your vote for me was the only reason I changed up.

I personally thought a few key facts would make the game more balanced.

    1. The PC's levels were low compared to the mafia (especially DIY. and later Centurion)

    2. Reenk had a 50% chance of a investigation picking him up as innocent

    3. The Prisoners and guards were supposed to oppose each other

    Final write up almost done.

If only Captain Blackadder tried to escape.....he would have won at least a Major Victory..

If the Mafia had hit us instead of the Mafia and Prisoners, it would have been much different....and you did try to say Reenk was innocent....but me and Beskar didn't buy it (Reenk didn't "Abstain" at the start like he always does)

We the PC's, said "let the Prisoners go free, if they want....it makes our Job to find the Anti-town much easier"

If it would have been a losing condition...then we would have put more action into it....or if it would have been one guard for one Prisoner

Edit:It's funny how DIY thought that his vote on Khazzer was not suspicious...IT WAS VERY SUSPICIOUS....*Look at what Sasaki confessed to me in Beskar's mafia, when he won a Perfect Victory....I now use that to locate scum

Honestly the prisoners were hit more with bad luck then anything else. I think if a few more had survived or stayed active and sent in night orders they would have started escaping.

Blackadder tried escaping every night. and for his tenacity he will be rewarded

The two guard per prisoner worked quite well, if only all the prisoners had sent in order every night they could have escaped either night one or two.

So what exactly were PC and NPC's? Did that mean that some people were playable characters with high levels and loads of awesomeness, while the rest of us were just local yokels? (not that it's a bad thing, most townies are just "average/normal" townies).

Nightfall was approaching when Schism had almost finished his work, the healing that had resulted from the commotion in the courtyard had cost him far too much energy for his liking. But the steps were almost complete! He smirked and began bashing apart the Gem in his mortar and Pestle (magic of course, had to be to crush the diamond) and then poured in a inch or two of his holy water, letting the mixture roll around in the cup. It grew silvery, and bubbles began to form as the liquid hissed. “There we go!” the cleric said, and walked over to Isamu, who he had laid on a long table, his wounds mended and his body limp and cold. He poured the concoction down the rogues throat, and sat back and waited…..

Isamu burst up from the table, hacking and coughing as air rushed back into his lungs. “ ‘Bout time Schism. I almost made it to heaven too.” The rogue looked annoyed, but started standing.

Schism sighed “Never any appreciation…. I was busy killing the rest of the intruders in the camp.”
AVSF walked in with a scowl “ORLY? I thought you were sat in here doing nothing while me and the other guards killed the last of the crazies. I must have been imagining.”

Schism laughed “Look, the important thing is that we came out of this whole things alive. I mean come on. This was the big leagues! A Demon, a Doppleganger, A resistance spy, plus whatever in the nine hells Fluffy turned into. I mean come on! I went up 3 levels during this whole mess, and I bet you guys did too. WE came out on top!”

AVSF looked outside, to where the statue still stood “If you say so……”

Isamu nodded his head “No, schism is right. We won this one, and we deserve some celebration. Lets go get are rewards.” All three smiled. And each said farewell to the Statue of Gesundheit, with Schism adding in a few parting thoughts on the statues base.

    ---------------------------

Iskander and Ichigo stood by the captain of the guard, each nursing their wounds. Schism had tended them as best he could, but man did they ache! Both stood at attention, feeling very pleased with themselves. All things considering they should. Both had did their duty as guards and spent many a night watching the wily prisoners. In fact, they had been doing this so long they were not sure what they were going to do now.

The captain spoke up “Both you boys have done a better job than anyone could ask for! Nine Hells, You gave the PC’s a run for their money! I could hardly ask for more loyal and trusting men…. You two, here is your next four pay checks up front. This camp is not going to be open anywhere near that long, not with all the prisoners dead. Think of it as a thank you.” He handed the two men each a bag of silver and gold pieces, and both audibly gasped.

Iskander opened his mouth and worked up the nerve to speak “Sir we only did our job as guards.”

The captain looked over at him “well, then you can do one more thing for me then. Send in Blackadder, you know, the last prisoner.”

Both guards nodded. As they walked out they appraised the cash in their bags, each with a different purpose for it. Iskander had a idea…. With this much gold he could by a plot of land and live self sufficiently for the rest of his life! Ichigo however, had a much different purpose… There was just enough money here to pay for a raise dead spell. And here had just the guy in mind! Roy was not going to stay dead on his watch! Here is hoping he would have a way to “reward” him when he came back. Ichigo grinned.

    -----------------------------

Blackadder was sitting on a rock in the courtyard thinking, when the guards found him and brought him to the captain.

The captain looked him up and down then shook his head “Well, this camp is done with. Do you understand what that means prisoner?”
Blackadder looked horrified “are… are you guys gonna kill me now?”

The captain laughed “No kid, my alignment has been Neutral good for all my 50 years, and I want to keep it that way. But you can not stick around here. Iskander is going to open the gate and let you go free.”

Blackadder was confused…. His face was bewildered as Iskander lead him to the gate and let him out. He had tried escaping every night since this nightmare had started, and he had ended up leaving through the front door…. He burst out laughing, jumping with joy before running away, hoping to find his family right where he left it.

The guards watched him go. “We did our job” the two said in unison “We are done here.” After one more chat with the captain the two headed out of the camp as well, hoping to be back in nowhere by the end of tomorrow.

    -----------------------------------------

The PC reached the captain, and found him packing up the last of his belongings

Isamu spoke up “ sir, what will happen to the camp now?”

“This entire affair has been a fiasco boys. The prison camps are something we would have expected from Anywhere, never from ourselves. I am sure this whole event will lead to their closure. Maybe even lead to us withdrawing from Anywhere At All all together. This means I guess I owe you all your money. Plus something extra for saving us all.”
He handed all three a heavy burlap sack filled with gold and silver, enough that if they wished they could probably all retire.
Schism sighed “We still have a friend in need boys. We will find a spellcaster to break stone enchantment if it is the last thing we all do! Gesundheit needs to be saved!”

The other two perked up “HERE, HERE!” and all three went on their merry way out of the camp. The captain laughed “The follies of LIFE…”. Skin fell from the man in piles, until a tall gaunt skeleton was left in its place. The creature laughed and red fires appeared in its eyes “I must thank you for your help Captain, without your skin I would have never been able to find my newest pet.” He cackled and a figure shook itself free form the dirt grave it had been placed in. Fluffy walked over to the creature, its fur gone and replaced by a leathery hide “Master….” The cat said, its noble beauty lost to the monster it had become. The lich turned and began walking away, the cat keeping pace “ ahhh, the joys of evil. I managed to kill a harmless girl and in the process won over the power of a Cat with the strength of ten men! You will make a wonderful Death Knight Fluffy. I can already tell” They walked off towards the mountains, Shadows bobbing and weaving around both

    ----------------------------------------

The Dopplenganger slide back in his chair when the scrying glass showed Roy dead…. Man was that lucky. He looked across the Scrying desk to his client, and hoped beyond hope she was pleased…..

“you see, Roy is dead, my objective complete. You just want him dead, did not say how….”

The wraith sitting in the other chair whipped its spectral head up, literal flames bursting from her eyes and her had drawing forth a shining sword. Haley was not amused, not one bit “I wanted you to kill him. THAT is what I payed for. This does not make up for the fact you failed.”

The doppelganger was growing uncomfortable. This wraith was strong…. Too strong. He did not think he could take her in a straight up fight “what do you want from me? I was not going to give up my life for a job. I already told you if things got too hot I would escape.”

“Fine. But we are not done… You and I still have business to discuss.”

    “uhhhh about what?”

“how well do you know the upper planes?”
The doppelganger laughed, this girl was crazy. But then again. Maybe they could pull it off….

    ----------------------------------------------

The statue stood still in that courtyard for a Long long time. But it was never forgotten. Its purpose stood for years. And through it all Schism’s words etched onto its base stood the test of time.

“Be right back, Finding powerful spell caster, do not touch statues. –The heroes of Nowhere”

    -----------------------------------------------

The Heroes of Nowhere became one of the greatest Adventuring parties ever, and through all their adventures, they staid on the look out for a spell caster who could undo the stone magic binding their friends. However their tale is yet unwritten…. All that is known is they made FAARR too much money to spend it on. They ended up giving half away to commission the creation of Nowheres first museum, commemorating the first Anywhere/Nowhere war.

Iskander went on to buy his little plot of land, and his little farm house and little farm. He eventually wed a girl from a near by town and had a small child. His future looked bright and hopeful. His farm prospered and his family grew. He became a great patriarch of the 3.1 family. He only came out of retirement one time, but that is a tale for another time……

Ichigo or whatever he goes by these days did manage to resurrect Roy the fighter, and he did get his reward (whatever that was), afterwards he reenlisted in Nowheres army for the Colonial wars. He managed to buy himself a nice patch of land with his loot, and lived out his days in peace and comfort.

His brush with death managed to get Roy out of his slump and back to adventuring, however Haley still stood over his back through his days…. The conclusion of THAT little escapade is a story for another time.

Blackadder left behind any patriotism that he had in that dump of a Prison camp. And he hurried to gather up his family and get the Nine hells out of Anywhere. He settled in a new nation, On the eastern continent. When the Colonial wars began he was a famous landowner. His side lost. Some people just have none of the luck.

The dead prisoners went to their respective planes, but they did get a little reprieve. The clerics of Nowhere communicated with them during the Official trial of the Prison camps. A court decision rendered the use of Prison camps as UNLawfull-Good. This period in history is considered one of the worst in Nowhere history, and recordings of the Prisoners testimony (made by magical Ion stones) became a fascinating hobby and collectable. They were all post humorously awarded PC status for their troubles.

Yaropolk went to his own Heaven, and never got over how he could have failed his own beloved Anywhere so badly. It was a personal shame of his he never managed to save a single person during his time in the prison camp.

Fluffy…. Well fluffy's fate is one left to a much grander tale than this.

As for Beskar, he never did end up a martyr. But he would have been happy to see the end of the prison camps none the less.

I hope everyone had fun, I know I did. I think things ended up pretty well, with it just being bad luck that did in the mafia. (again) If only one or two things had gone differently I think things would have gone in a much different direction.

You are the mighty prison guards of Nowhere! Just kidding about the mighty part, but hey it’s a job right? That is when you get past the humanitarian aspects of it…. But whatever. So go get back to work!

    A prisoner
    Alignment: Neutral, Townie, prisoners
    Level: 4th level Rogue

Well, it could be worse!...... OK no it can not be worse. You are a prisoner in this hell hole. And you want out! And you think these disturbances may be you way out. Seems only natural. You need to get out of here alive if you ever want to free your beloved Anywhere. Which means perhaps you should stick around and see that nothing is going to be following you while you make your grand escape! However, that does not mean you don’t want to help your resistance fighters. Finding La’ resistance and giving them a pat on the back for the good work seems like a sound idea to you! Ahhh conflicting loyalties. Ever prisoner in the camp has a different idea about what they want to do, including whether they should be helping their captors or fighting against them. The only thing you all agree on is you must escape!

    Ability:
    Voting: self explanatory
Escape: During the night, you can try and escape. Doing so everyone who sends in a similar order goes up against everyone who sent in the conflicting order (Guard the prisoner) Prisoners are worth 1 point and guards worth 2. Whoever has more points wins. If your team has more points then for each point above the guards one randomly chosen prisoner will go free.

Win conditions: Get one you get a minor victory, two you get a major victory, 3 and you get a perfect victory
    1. Escape this place
    2. Eliminate all Anti town roles
    3. Help at least half of the prisoners escape.
    4. kill all of the guards (prisoners had this objective or the one above it, randomly determined)

Well, Fluffy if you remember correctly you ended Swords and D20’s 1 becoming a protector for Lairs of super bads. The pay was good and all, and of course dead Adventurers make great snacks. Things went very well, until you met HER…… It was love at first sight fluffy, and you were ensnared in here spell. She was one of the prisoners captured in the war, and she scratched your ears so good you almost married her right then. But yours is a forbidden love fluffy, for she is still a prisoner of war, and as such off limits. You meet in secret, Romeo and Juliet style. She is your world and you would do anything for her. You know she has nothing to do with these attacks in the camp, and you want to make sure she is protected. However, you are still loyal to your job as well, and must do your duty as guard.

And it has paid off, gone are many of the issues which had plagued your past, including the Lurking and the PC hatred. A powerful wizard have you become, and much have you learned about the world around you. Achoo has groomed you as his successor, but just a month ago he began acting strangely. He asked you to do a favor for him, and Leave townieville, just for a little while. He sent you to this camp, where you have been doing work for the guards. Soon you felt a change coming over you, and soon enough you understood its cause. No more were you an NPC…. You have become what years ago you would have despised. A PC. CDF - there were too many splintered mafia cells vs one cohesive town. ATPG, myself + rr, SK, and townie group could all kill each night, and each group could also investigate. There were too many chances for mafia to bump into each other, which usually ends up in favor of the pro-town group since they're the only ones who can openly discuss thier actions without getting a lynch.

I couldn't kill at night and my nervous pro-town friends blocked me from investigating.
