    Default Romani Recruitment Issues

    You know I might be a complete idiot and this has probably been answered already but I've been digging for it and can't find it. First off I'm on my first campaign ever for EB, been playing vanilla Rome for all these years, tried the mod, and I love it (historical accuracy=love). But it's like the year 230 bc and I've smoked most of Carthage, half of Iberia, and a substantial portion of Gaul, yet I cannot train Roman troops in any of these settlements. Yes I have the type II government there, Romanized province, but it will not let me build the MIC, only the auxillary barracks, and numidian skirmishers blow when you're trying to conquer all of North Africa. It's becoming a major pain to have to ship my troops back to Italy to be retrained, or to just send new armies out from Italy. I'm wondering if this is normal or will I ever be able to build Roman troops, by reading other posts it sounds like I should but I have no idea whats up. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have v 1.2 along with the fixes for it. Thanks

    Yeah, about recruiting Roman troops in provinces other than Italy,
    there are reforms for that.

    You are probably still in the Camillan Reforms, so Polybians are next.
    To get those, you have to have certain cities under your control;
    refer to https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=84854, around the reforms section for that.
    You should get those shortly, assuming you have most of the conditionals
    fulfilled.

    As for the areas where recruitment is possible, the Marian reforms,
    the reforms AFTER the polybians, make the AoR for Romani
    factional troops much larger; most of the map, in fact.
    Refer to the Recruitment Viewer for exact provinces.

    Also, out of curiousity, how many provinces do you have?
    If you have 45 or more, it will help with getting the Marian Reforms.

    I have the Polybian reforms, I can train Polybian troops in Northern Italy and Rome and Capua where I have the most advanced MIC built. I have 34 regions. Anyway thanks for the quick response.

    You need the Marian reforms to be able to recruit roman troops outside of Italy.

    They do not happen before 172 BC I think, you also need 50 regions and there are some other conditions too, its all explained in the FAQ like Mediolanicus said.
