It definately needs a patch, be it an official one or a modders work. While 1.4 was kinda playable, with 1.5 my tech trade panel is all weird and other "funny" things happen, too, so i effectively can't play the game atm. And when i hear from others that you still cannot repair walls and such things... i mean... the game is out FOR OVER HALF A YEAR NOW! And the developers still got bugs THAT BIG in their game? If the game wasn't connected to my steam account i would have sold it already... or had brought it back to the store...

ANd instead of telling us whats up with patches or hotfixes now, they open a poll forum about NTW... is this supposed to be funny or are they just that insensitive in those things?

Patch 1.4 was good. Then they released Warpatch 1.5 giving everyone warpath even if didn't buy it. I have warpath but can't play it. I wouldn't care if my game would run as smooth as it did in 1.4. A new patch would probably mean new mechanics and new re-balancing everything giving poor Brandybarrel a job to renew his Fusil, but I really hope that we get a large patch that only fixes bugs. And does something about diplomacy.

It is just my thoughts but it could use a patch.

There are some distracting bugs or perhaps some are features that we just don’t care for.

CA has done a decent job in fixing most things, to this point, but now we just don’t know.

We don’t know either how NTW will change ETW and if they are that directly linked.

The only thing we know about the MP Beta is that it should be coming. I would think they would want it beyond Beta prior to NTW being released...

Release of Modding Tools may come post NTW...just a wild guess.

I had expected to see some people who didn’t think it needed patching but so far that is not how it is going.

As for a blanket statement of no more major patches, I am a little confused, did they ever intend to take the MP beyond Beta?

I didn't think there was ever going to be a public MP beta, they were going to work on it and once theyd finished patching empire, they were going to finish it off and release it before the release of Napoleon.

ETW still has bugs that could be fixed.

I would like to see a patch to reduce the bugs that popped up with 1.5. I was quite happy with 1.4 but the crashes have definitely increased for me.

However, besides bugs I think we are probably at the point where further tweaks will come from modders.

It could use another tweaking patch, but I'm with those who just want to see the modding fully unlocked. CA has had their window of opportunity to sell their own "mod" now, so let's get on with it!

It needs a patch. I think the 1.4 CAI and DAI seemed pretty good, but I'm not so sure 1.5 is the same. I may just be paranoid, but I feel like they made additional changes to the AIs in 1.5 that made it not as smart as in 1.4. The 1.5 AI is WAY too stingy when it comes to trading (territories, techs, protectorate status, etc.).

It also needs the multiplayer patch (which I know we keep hearing is coming).

The unit-sorting also got messed up in 1.4 or 1.5. Younger units will sometimes appear before older ones, you cav and artillery units won't appear together, etc.

1.5 also reintroduced the screen scroll freezes/stuttering that was in 1.0 but fixed by 1.3.

There are also window graphics errors where some sheets don't show up completely, techs don't appear to trade, etc.

There are also several techs you can research before you have the prerequisite techs.
