Thread: Campaign map lag

  1. #1

    Default Campaign map lag

I experience campaign map lag while playing EB.

    Comp specs:

    2 Ghz cpu
    2 gigs ram
    Radeon HD 3200 graphics card

I played RTW with no problems.

I don't have any programs running in the background, I put all graphics down to minimum and still experienced lag with the campaign map. The battle maps are fine, no lag or anything.

Is my graphics card too shitty to play EB?

I noticed that the water effects were much heavier than those of RTW, perhaps restoring the original textures would reduce or eliminate the lag? If so, how would I go about doing this?

    Thanks for any help provided.

Cool store, bro! I want some ham.
    No ham, pepsi.
They make deli slices of frozen pepsi now? Awesome!
You also need to purchase a small freezer for storage of your pepsi.
It runs on batteries. You'll need a few.
Uhh, I guess I won't have pepsi then. Do you have change for a twenty?

Sorry, I should have been more clear. By turning graphics down to minimum, I meant turning off all those options in addition to all the detail options reduced and resolution to a minimum.

Lags on the campaign map can also happen, if you order one unit over its maximum movement points and the red/blu/yellow lines appearing. Moving a unit out of a city and then again into the city solves this lag. Otherwise if you posses Vista upgrade your Ram.
